Ever since the "Do you like Kineth?" topic that Go_To made, where I, admittedly, was very hostile to some people and pointed out that there were alt accounts coming out of the woodwork just to troll/flame me (and other users), there's definitely been a lot of pushback with Hoth, specifically, and others too.

It's even exposed older high karma accounts that suddenly come out of nowhere to troll/harass/flame/etc. as alts of whoever it might be.

Hell, I remember when I pointed out that thanosibe always seemed to show up to defend the Admiral when he was getting flamed/worked over in an argument/debate and while I don't necessarily know if he's an alt of his, I do know that he definitely backed off of it for a little bit of time, though now I think thelovefist is one of Admiral's alts since he does exactly the same thing.

I guess the reason I made this topic was slightly in support of the @Veggeta_MAX topic stating that any new alt accounts that show up that won't admit who their main is/was are justifiably gonna be labeled as Hoth alts. If you've got nothing to hide, don't be scared. Only a coward would need to rely on aliases to hide who they are.

If someone has low karma and high amp then they're likely an alt of someone that either got suspended/banned or is too afraid to post on their main. Gamefaqs' traffic is too slow to believe someone new happened to show up.

meh I've been on this site for 15 years and a couple of years ago I had a breakdown, posted some crap and got my longstanding account banned and haven't been able to hold on to an account since because of mod history

Let's be honest, CE isn't the type of place to attract new users. Why would a user that is completely new to the site come to a dying social board instead of one of the gaming boards first?

If they're anything like me they came for the gaming boards, then when they realized how insane the moderation was they came here after said game board inevitably died because everything had been discussed to death.

Let's be honest, CE isn't the type of place to attract new users. Why would a user that is completely new to the site come to a dying social board instead of one of the gaming boards first? Considering the dozens of accounts the fam goes through on a weekly basis, it's generally more efficient to assume that a new user is one of them. And they are usually right on the money metapod.

I dunno about the rest of yall but I try to invite people from other boards to come to CE all the time so we can discuss literally Current Events lmao.

CE has always done that. It's probably the only place on the internet where sop isn't to ignore the trolls and alts, but to feed them in hopes that you can out-debate them and cause them to run away.

Probably the reason why people stop posting here and we're flooded with trolls and alts.

He accussed @Verdekal of being my alt because we both gave him shit about claiming that dogs can't feel happiness. Eventually it got to the point where he wished death on all my future offspring. The guy is absolutely unhinged.
