should honor that price? For example it looks like above some items the wrong price is labeled or a sign above it? in retail and see this all the time

Depends, does the sign just list the price or does it list an exact product and date range? Could the product listed be confused with what is there instead?

so there is a huge difference here? if the difference in the real cost is huge don't honor it? a mistake is a mistake

If its just the price listed next to the item inside a store, then no. They just need to inform you at the register (and then fix the mistake).

On the other hand, if they list a price in an advertisement, then thats a reason for people going to a store in the first place. They should honor a price in that instance.

Some supermarkets here have a price match guarantee, and some let you get an item under a certain value for free if it was marked wrong
