With Independence Day coming up for America, I thought it would be an opportune time to ask this question.

On one hand, I appreciate the many freedoms that Americans have that other countries don't. Really, I'd never want to live anywhere else. On the other hand, I'm ashamed of some of the decisions America has made, in the past and in the present, especially when it comes to warfare. So, really, I'm not sure.

I don't think about it all the time, or wave a flag or wear red white and blue. but I appreciate what America does for me. cause in some other countries I would not be able to live in my own apartment. I'd either be stuck with my parents still, or homeless.

Not really, if like someone came up all in m face saying "Canadians are trash" I'd obviously take offense but I aint jumping the gun to fight in whatever war/peace keeping mission we happen to be in.
