Someone in Europe was raped and won the right to do assisted suicide to escape the trauma

But what I can't stop thinking about is her family.

Would you try to stop them? Would you feel hurt, betrayed or abadoned? I get she felt she couldn't go on with the trauma but there are therapies you can do. Suicide leaves a horrible scar on those you leave behind

It's kind of messed up though cause the article says actual doctors declared her "uncurable" and said that suicide was a valid "treatment". No mental health doctor should ever just give up on there patient or actually allow them to think suicide is a valid choice

The identity of the woman is secret. So we don't know what happened in the rape case in regards to the rapist

it's the person's body, so it's their choice

I feel like this has always gone both ways. Both sides feels like the other side is selfish.

er. i guess the big thing i took away from the article came at the end where they mentioned using euthanasia as a cure for ptsd, and what kind of precedent that might set.
