Es, etc)

I play fate a little bit but it's battle system isn't amazing and it's cost requirement is ridiculous.

Fire Emblem heroes is the best one by far, you can do just fine without spending a dime.

Alchemist code is one I'm into a lot lately, decent story, fun tactics battle system.

Knights chronicle is another one I just started, similar battle system to fate, but a different perspective.

Danmachi, because the gameplay isn't terrible, it's really good for F2P players compared to any other Gacha that I know of, and has some great bespectacled cuties and CHIGUSA

Absolutely, and why I still play it. It's actually more fun building up the FTP and 3-4* characters (of which I am only missing Tobin, grrrrrrr) than it is getting 5* god units (Though I do use some of the ones I have pulled, but have not spent any money on the game)

The only that's held my interest the most and longest is Granblue Fantasy. It's Japanese-only, but it has an official high quality English option. Main story starts off standard but actually gets pretty interesting not too far in. Bunch of characters and weapons, the characters with their own VA and gorgeous artwork, and there's usually some kind of event going on if you want to do that, including a good amount of collaboration ones. The company is also really generous with items.

If you enjoyed final fantasy tactics or disgaea, you really should try Alchemist code. Some of the devs on that game worked on the other two games I mentioned. It has an actual solid plot, great art style, wonderful battle animations, a full fledged, fun tactics battle system. Only drawback is its made by gumi, so the drop rates are God awful, but if you're not after a specific hero, it's not much of an issue.... Yet.

I agree. I love earning my summons through normal play, it's pretty generous, and when I do pull a good 5* or a 4* I need(need to upgrade my reinhardt lol), it feels better.

It's fantastic. Most of the characters can be grinded out from certain maps, and when pulling for them, you can alter the amounts of resources to increase odds of certain types and characters. The big, spend money on rolls is all cosmetics. The gameplay is a strategy game. You make teams of your guns up and then move them across the map, claiming points and battling enemy teams. In my opinion, it's the most fun I've had in a this kind of game.

It's the most friendly and forgiving out of them all. You can get all the characters very easy without putting any money to it at all. For cosmetics, after you've rolled enough times, they even give you tickets, so once you've pulled enough, you can just flat out get whatever cosmetic you were really wanting.

Also has fantastic art, fantastic soundtrack, and pretty damn good storyline.

I play a bunch really, but my main is Fate. On Both NA/JP. It's 5* % is probably the lowest out of all the games I've played but it's characters and story is what gets the most of my attention.

Granblue: I used to play it a lot but I'm starting over now and kind of slogging through it because of the upcoming event in Fate but I did complete the Together in Song event that was really good. I chose Novei solely because of Saori Hayami and I got the limited summon too.

FEH: I started playing when the Bridal Bloom event started and I got Tharja who I really wanted but honestly haven't played it that much afterwards. I'll play more after the upcoming event in Fate though. I did open up the game this week and got two 5* characters in a row lol

and this week I downloaded the Star Ocean game which is seriously so fun to play and looks gorgeous. I can't really speak on the F2P friendliness yet though

Food Fantasy comes out next week too

Basically my life belongs to the grind

I also downloaded FEH today. I don't care about Fire Emblem like I do fate but I do like colorful characters so maybe I'll adapt

I can't get into a single one. Not really into grinding, though I've been hearing good things about FEH.

I tried it when it was released but it got boring fast and I don't think I linked it with my Nintendo account.

I want a full SRPG like FFT or Disgaea without all this microtransactions crap. Heck, a traditional FE game on mobile would be amazing.

This. I've almost played every single game mentioned in this topic(well, not the SMT one because it isn't out). Most of them for *far* too many hours. Honkai Impact is the best in terms of, you know, actually being fun to play. In my opinion anyway. I'm not going to pretend like skill isn't a factor in most of the games mentioned. It is. Especially in terms of team building. But so much of those games is just auto-battle grinding. Oh and gacha heartbreak. Sooooo much gacha heartbreak(I'm looking at you FGO). But in Honkai Impact it really feels like my gaming skill actually matters more then my gear(though gear DOES matter). For example, I was once fighting a boss in coop with 2 other players who outleveled me by like 10 levels and both of them got bodied by the boss in like 45 seconds so I ended having to fight the boss alone despite the boss also being like 10 levels above me and being able to kill me in like 3 hits yet despite all that I killed it. After like 20 minutes of constantly being on the verge of death. The only thing keeping me alive being my ability to read the boss's attack patterns and dodging accordingly. That sort of Dark Souls-like rush is just so much more fun to me that setting a game on auto-battle and watching a movie. But to each his own.

Anyway, if you have any love for action games at all, I find Honkai Impact to be peerless. Nice graphics with silky smooth 60fps combat that controls shockingly well. It's like having a mini-Bayonetta on your phone. The gacha is on the more reasonable side(pity timers and all that) and they give currency at a generous rate. In terms of sheer collection it can't compete with most other games(which often have hundreds of characters). The game is structured in a way where that are a handful of different characters but each character has a handful of different versions(like how FEH has multiple Chroms and whatnot). So there's not a ton of characters to collect but the characters are all very different. In the Global version right now there's 20. It's not a lot but they are far more then simple outfit swaps. Entirely different movelists and skill trees and all that. Here's a trailer of the game:

I would highly recommend it. I think it's super fun. No turn limit on the vast majority of maps. There are few missions called night maps, that are basically the hard endgame challenge stuff. They have turn limits, but there are only a few of them.

It has a cool story and some really fantastic art and characters. And I can't stress how great and easy it is regarding getting the characters you want. It's overall fantastic and I can't recommend it enough.

The turn limit only applies to night missions (which are some of the toughest in the game but you won't have to deal with them for a while) or if you're trying to S-rank missions (which gets you extra rewards but isn't required to complete the story) so don't let that keep you away. The gameplay is good and the crafting element is much more forgiving than most gacha games. If you like the character designs and the "cool girls with guns" theme of the game, I totally recommend giving it a shot.

Speaking of gacha systems, you know what game has a really good system? King's Raid. I don't really play it anymore but the gacha system in that game was one of the best I ever saw. Basically, there is no gacha for characters. All characters can be bought outright with currency. The gacha is just for gear. That system was amazing. I wish all gacha games functioned like that. Being able to just buy a character and not have to gamble for it was so nice.
