Full Throttle 07/15/18 10:18:12 PM #1:	Is Francesca Hot? - Results (4 votes) Yes 75% (3 votes) 3 No 0% (0 votes) 0 She's Average 25% (1 vote) 1 24 y/o Francesca Hung, the New Miss Universe Australia will represent her country in the Miss Universe Pageant where women around the world will compete for the crown to be Miss Universe...but she's telling her story that her road to success has not been easy as many modelling agencies REJECTED her because they favour WHITE GIRLS over "asians" and how it "wasn't cool"!! She's had a string of bad luck in the modelling world and it was down to the industry's lack of diversity. She said "Back then, there wasn't so much of an asian influence in the industry. now it's cool". She was told by the agencies that "white girls" were what was demanded in the fashion industry and that there was no place for asians in a "western" society... Francesca is half chinese and half white but none of the agencies called her back and said it was due to her heritage But it wasn't until she entered the miss universe pageant to push for diversity and didnt expect to win as she started crying when the announcer said she had won Although she looked up to past winners, she found it hard to relate to them because they were all "Anglo-Saxon" and said that they were indeed stunning girls..it doesn't represent the new Australia which is diverse of all cultures and ethnicities and wanted to see a euroasian girl in the contest She grwe up in an an angle-saxon area as she was the odd asian out who struggled to fit in with people that didn't look like her..
