To be fair, if Pop can get DeMar to hit three's and not disappear in the playoffs, they'll be a pretty good team. For one thing, not relying on old-ass Pau Gasol at center should help.

BTW for Toronto I like this in terms of moving towards a rebuild, because there's like a 0.1% chance he re-signs but what they ultimately will lose is likely a late first round pick and Poeltl to clear out of DeRozan's contract and they should be able to find a take for Lowry because he's a solid contributor if overpaid. Basically one last LeBron-Free East shot at getting to the Finals and the East gets yet another tanking team.

Schroder flat out told them he didn't want to be there or to be any part of a rebuild. They have been trying to shift him since pre-draft but his contract made it difficult.
