Hope's the best Medic in the game IIRC. Also a good Synergist.

And about not using Fang, mate you're missing on the strongest physical attacker in the game.

Fang was my Adamantortoise/Shaolong Gui killer.

Iirc good magic so good Rav and then is a protective Syn. Replaced by Snow when getting into post game stats.

Fang though is DPS. Highwind can do near 2m damage on small enemies and near 4m on large. Also an offensive Syn and is one of the best Sabs.

Best Commando: Fang
Best Ravager: Lightning ( not as powerful as Vanille/Hope, but she is strong enough + her limit is one of the best in the game)
Sentinel: Snow
Synergist: Sahz
Sabotour: Vanille ( access to death)
Medic: Hope

I had an enormous amount of fun with the boss fights once they got good (like ten hours in), and the visuals and music were great, but otherwise it had problems. I never delved into the post game.

After 140 hours I had leveled everyone to Max and was working on weapons and the super bosses when my PS3 died. Was devistating.

Really fun game for me. The paradigms remind me of FFX and being able to switch party members on the fly except it's just switching jobs instead of characters. Battle system was fun too once you unlocked larger amounts of abilities. Never did beat the game though. I think I stopped right near the beginning of the final chapter.
