This was the last time the Walking Dead "core" group will gather together for an interview as they were in studio with SiriusXM to promote Season 9 o fthe show with departing cast members Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan were together with Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danai Gurira

Lincoln was finally looking fresh with a short, tigether haircut and smaller trimmed beard that fans are not used to as the 44 y/o confirmed his exit from the series after 9 seasons but admitted he regretted the news of his departure had leaked as he wanted it to be a surprise.

He has not had a haircut in YEARS as the show has maintained he have a scruffy appearance but much like his castmates who have been let go from the show were finally allowed to cut their hair once they were axed from the series

He said "There is a certain sense of relief this morning but i still regret that the story broke because i believe in story and i think it would have been..it's gonna be a great season but it would have been greater if it was not spoiled to a degree"

Lincoln and Reedus were the original cast members left on the show after long time cast member Chandler Riggs was axed from the series last season.

The cast reiterated that they became a big family over the last decade and that they will truly miss Andrew as he will only appear in SIX episodes leaving speculation on what will happen to him and Lauren Cohan who didn't specify how many episodes she will appear in after ABC allowed her to be in a
"limited" number of episodes since she joined Whiskey Cavalier.

The show also confirmed that there will be a TIME JUMP but it isn't known how many years in the future it will be but does confirm that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be alive in those many years..

The show will definitely go on a different direction from the comics as Rick is still alive and an important character there but with a new showrunner that gives the show more leverage on where to take it with him out of the picture

Lincoln said he wanted to focus on making movies as he's been on the small screen for far too long and wants a more established career

This is true too he's been on that show for almost a decade, if he'd of left say series six he'd have a much higher chance of getting a big role

Andrew Lincoln is a great actor. The guy is English. He was the main reason I watched it for so long.

Unfortunately so.

As soon as I saw that they killed Carl. I figured the show's days are probably numbered.

TWD has always been Rick's and, to a lesser extent, Carl's story. If they had to get rid of Rick, Carl would be the only successor that makes sense.

Without Rick, I don't really feel any reason to continue watching.
