It was a massive flop on release because there wasn't much to it, but they've since added some major content updates that bring it more in line with what people were hoping to get from it at launch. It's not for everyone, but if you're interested and can find it at a price point that's not too troubling to you, I recommend it. It's a lot of fun if you like exploring and hunting resources to improve your ship and stuff.
