I actually always thought they were going to do 3-2 before 3-1. It makes sense - you introduce Godot, you have Mia see him and go "you know, that really brings me back," and bam, you have... either 3-4 or 3-1

but I think it works well to introduce Godot first before the flashback cases (even though he's not in 3-1)

I don't think they explicitly said Diego Armando is Godot in 3-4? It was obvious but still.

Yeah, they didn't explicitly say it since, well, he wasn't Godot yet, but yeah, they clearly meant for the first time you see him to be the revelation - I'm pretty sure they even did that "bling!" effect when he first shows like "hey, look who it is."

If you know anything about Godot going in, you probably figured out Godot's identity in 3-1 when they mention a guy who died from drinking coffee, because I'm not even sure coffee even existed in the AA universe until T&T.

Yeah, he looks just like Godot without the mask. He even wears the same style of suit, just with different colors.

Ace Attorney Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers
Zvarri! The truth has once again been elegantly revealed to me! A good start to 3-2. I think they largely hit all the major points of the investigation but spent a lot less time going from location to location. I'm still wondering how they plan to distribute episodes among all of the cases. They spent an entire episode on the first investigation phase so this might be a 4 episode case.

One of the best things about Pierce's transformation is that it gets Edgeworth acting like himself again, and we get to see him and Phoenix teaming up to take him down like old times.

Also, his final testimony is a really good idea. It doesn't have the execution to match 3-2's final testimony in sheer brilliance though.

Also, I've got a bonus thing to share! Around the time I started this thing, transience and I had talked about doing a Favorite Ace Attorney Moments list, so we started going through the cases and trying to pick out as many notable moments as we could find. We even got YouTube links to them.

Now that project fell by the wayside before we even finished compiling the moments, so I was trying to finish it off as I was playing through this. Even if we weren't going to use it for a list (although I guess we still could in the future), it'd be a shame to let all this time and effort go to waste. So behold!

(Click over to the Moments tab, obviously)

It seems you're still missing the overall count for the new trilogy.

Yes, I'm not quite done with the overall final numbers, but that's all the stuff I plan on posting for now.

Okay, I think I've got everything up to date in the Google Doc. Maybe one day I'll come back and do Layton/AA for the heck of it, but that won't be for a while.

If anyone wants any bonus stats or something, just ask and I'll do what I can.

For instance, there are 393 total testimonies across all the games.

Are we done with topic? Weekly Ace Attorney anime posts alone aren't really enough to keep it alive. Especially since it doesn't seem like many people are watching it right now.

Congrats on finishing the line count project (at least for the main series)! Was fun to keep up with for sure.

Just wanted to say thanks for doing all the line count stuff, it was really interesting to keep up with.

I wanted to do a big ol' case ranking for the whole series but then I got sidetracked on replaying all the games, and now that I've forgotten a bunch of the cases again I'm not sure what to do! I do still really want to do it though. Not sure if anyone would really care too much about random guy's AA rankings, but I kinda just want to do it for myself anyway since I have fairly strong opinions

Hey, go for it. You're not just a random AA fan in my book, so I'd definitely follow along.

My case ranking opinions are a little contrarian in a couple of spots so that'll probably be fun, but I think I can defend myself

I still need to finish replaying 6-5 (second half), and then I also dropped E2-3 in the middle (I INTENDED to keep going, but then I discovered that desmume did not run on my laptop so that actually got shot down for physical reasons, not "stopped playing" reasons) and then do E2-4 and E2-5

that would complete the replay that I started like a year and a half ago, problem is most of the cases I replayed a year ago and now I've lost some of the finer details of some of them - I may end up needing to replay AAI1 and AA4 again but ehhh probably not

Yeah, Layton/AA is a little tricky to rank for me, especially the last case.

I have a pretty good idea of how I want to rank each case within a couple spots or so, it's just talking about the cases where I would like the details to be more focused and to remember specific things that happened

I know pretty much exactly where I want to rank the LvW cases, and they are worth ranking

Are they just going to reuse the soundtrack from the first anime season? I'm disappointed to not hear any remixes from T&T.

EDIT: I might have missed others, but at least T&T trial music wasn't used

Yeah, the choice of music has been a bit disappointing. The game music they do use seems to still be from the first game even though they are covering the third.
