I preferred Pillars over Divinity but they're both pretty good

Haven't played the first Original Sin, but it's sequel is one of the best RPG's I've ever played.

Is this going to be one of those times when you pretend not to have a plan until the last moment? And then turn out to really not have one?

My friend and I co-op through D:OS and with two other in-game PCs. Definitely had many of fun moments with me learning the magic mechanics. I think for the first quarter to third of the game I was more of a threat to my friend than the enemy with my spells.

go with Divine Divinity since it's the orignal game that started it all https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/games/franchise/1437-divinity

Doesn't bother me.

Don't understand why it bothers anyone, honestly. Of all the things to get riled up about, someone ending sentences with 'ok?' ranks pretty fucking low for me.

just don't mentally read/pronounce the "ok?" and it sounds like a normal person talking

time-wise it might not be too bad. I think I did like 2 and a half playthroughs, not including DLC, and I ended up with 147 hours played.

what I mostly meant was I guess the scale of the game. it "feels" short when you play it again. you can carve the vanilla game into three "chunks", and the third one is the shortest.

in my second playthrough, the first part went by super fast, and then the second part didn't last long either, and meanwhile I knew there wasn't much left in the third part, so it felt really small.

it is a good game though and worth playing.

I do agree that Pillars feels a bit more "contained" in a way, than Baldur's Gate does. The best way I can describe it, is that the game is structured similarly to a theatrical play. You've your first, second, and third acts. And they can feel like they go by rather quickly.

I can kind of see where Sahuagin is coming from.
