I'd never watch it for obvious reasons, but from the little I've seen of the big 3 I feel like Bleach has the best design with actually attractive looking characters for both the guys and the girls. Their designs aren't bizarre (in a bad way, not good way like alice in wonderland, spirited away, etc) like One's Piece or straight up lame like that dude with whiskers naruto (why do they even draw him with whiskers? I'm legit curious about that)

But then again I like bishie guys and I definitely like attractive girl designs minus the childish big boobs thing a couple of them have (I'm more into that librarian girl in the show that wears glasses)

I agree. I think the mouths of the characters have an odd look to them though. They all look the same when they smile lol

No, because most of their characters wear generic outfits or weird bone-clothing. One Piece's proportions are weird, but at least they're cool designs. And Naruto's character designs both look better and are proportional. They get even better in Boruto, the Naruto spinoff.

Yeah. That was one of the big reasons as to why Bleach was able to get so popular. The mangaka's detailed character art and interesting character designs.

The design of characters plays into how attractive they are to some people.

I like the actual style of the artwork best in Naruto, I think Kishimoto is the best artist of the three. Oda is best at making some really weird "creative" designs and that can be a bad or a good thing but his simple artwork helps it. I'm not a fan of Kubo's art, honestly, but the actual character designs are best in that one, IMO.

Whoever the artist(s) is for Naruto is clearly the most skilled of the three. No question about that. But I do get what you're saying, Bleach characters are generally pretty stylish. One Piece however, I cannot enjoy no matter how hard I try, because the character designs are just that terrible and hurt my eyes.

Prefer Naruto to Bleach for character designs. The main character is the only character i know from One Piece so couldnt really say about that one.

Yeah, that's very true. Even just changing their eyes a bit would help.

Yeah, that's very true. Even just changing their eyes a bit would help.

I love One Piece's art (especially in action scenes) and character design, but unfortunately this is definitely one of his limitations. A lot of the women are drawn with Nami's face. Even in the most recent chapter which came out yesterday, there was a centaur character introduced who was quickly dubbed "horse-Nami" by someone on the OT board. Thing is, this is a problem with a lot of anime/manga, where characters are drawn as nearly identical but with different hair.

That's what the common term for those three manga used to be, back when they really were the 3 biggest shounen in America. Bleach and Naruto have long since ended, but no one has been able to decide on which manga should fill their shoes (the most popular at the moment seem to be MHA and Black Clover).

The only reason I ever gave Bleach a second glance was because of Rukia -- her hair is not necessarily unique as far as anime stuff goes but she did have an uncharacteristically deep voice for a female lead, both seiyuu and English. It's one of the things that always stuck in my mind about her.

Other than that, character designs are typical shonen, lots of random theming going on. To be expected with so many of them I suppose.

And perhaps if their designs were more different, they'd look more attractive. >_> Instead you have a lot of women in loose-fitting robes where all you can see is their face and hair.
