In this post-Hyoh world, is Tidus worth 7*-ing?

That depends on how you use him. He doesnt have a lot of chain partners and he requires set up to get to his double attack skill plus he also heavily relies on fixed dice to do really good damage.

The thing I just keep coming back around to is that I will almost assuredly never use two 7* Hyoh's while they are still relevant. It just seems like getting a 180 Attack Weapon gives me more bang for my buck right now.

I mean hell, I see quite a few Hyoh's on my FL with Revolving Saw, which has no Element, so I'm guessing even Hyoh himself would at least somewhat benefit considering I have no Tonitrus, Agni Blade, and Excalibur is just a go to for him to chain with my Orlandeau.

How did you mitigate the T1 damage?

For which fight, Shiva? I just used 7* Wilhelm to cover it. He died, but it left both Hyohs alive, which was more than enough to finish her on turn 2.

I'm at 40% on a Trust Moogle, and I really need Hyoh's Clothes, so getting his Weapon choice will need to be something easier to obtain for me right now.

HIs clothes should be top priority.

Revolving saw is a solid choice over a fire/lightning element weapon if you dont have one due to the variance. You'll probably see some with lion heart as well for the same reason. It's the reason why his BiS weapon is Clouds STMR cause its a 180 attack 2h sword with variance. It's why his current BiS weapon is the thunder spear from Nalu's STMR even though he loses out on all of those juicy GS passives. 2h variance with lightning element.

Diabolos 3* is still kicking my ass, and I can't figure out why.

Basch - Dark resist 200%, Magic Tank
WoL - 100% Evasion, Death Proof, Provoke tank
Ayaka - Healer, Stop Clear
2x Orlandeaus - DPS

Basch still takes damage (over 10k sometimes), sometimes just chip damage. WoL's Brave Presence should be a 100% Provoke, and with the imperil, Basch should still be immune to dark damage. So unless he's stopped, I don't know how he's taking damage, or why he's taking 10k ohko damage even on non-threshold rounds.

The biggest thing that makes the fight hard is that, barring threshold turns, he can do an AoE dispel on your party...which removes provokes and active covers as well. (The Estark trial has the same move as well, though he has justification as it being one of his moves in canon anyway.)

This, in turn, gives a soft DPS check on the fight since the only way to have no chance of the dispel is just hitting thresholds all day. It is a soft dps check, however, since you can get lucky with either the dispel going after the big hits or not popping up at all, but the AoE dispel makes sure that Attrition is not a viable option for too long.

I dont know how high your Orlandeaus attack is, but I was hitting 20% each turn with my Orlandeau + my Hyoh.

I stole both of yours. The only reason I haven't done anything with him is I'm debating if I want to farm up his TMR or not, and I don't want to fuse anything until I make that decision.

Also, IW with spears this week. Reberta's spear was already on my list, but then I remembered that Reaver is a spear as well. Excuse me while I make GLS even more of a monster. I am going to be sorely tempted to pour some money into the Halloween banner when it comes back.

I got my Marquois early, sitting at 3 now. If you remember Raiden, JP-players didn't exaggerate he is very rare. They even riotted enough to get at least one free as a n offer, iirc..

Oh, I remember, I just find my personal rates ridiculous. It happens with 4* tickets and stuff like that too usually. People who have half or even 25% of the total raid points that I do end up getting multiples of the really rare stuff while I get none. I believe his drop rate is something like 0.07%.

If youre having issues with dark messenger I believe it can be reflected. Just cast carbunkle before a push and youll be good. You can then dispelga your team and heal if you need to.

I think the problem I started running into was that Evil Mood started happening at the beginning of his rotation, which is what starts messing with my team.

Holy shit. I've been defriended by nearly half of my list. Down to 51 out of 100.

I had one friend drop me in the last two weeks, and I have 130 Friends. I am not picky about who friends up with me though and take some of those non-5* base and low account level people on as friends as well, so I'm probably less likely to have someone who only wants the best of the best on their friends list. I did need to remove 5 people from my friends list for being offline for 7+ days though.

I think I'd go with the Ultima Sword Hyoh for now. I -think- the extra 300 ATK is worth more then the elemental chain, but I could be wrong.

It wouldn't just be the elemental chain, but any additional damage from any imperils as well. I have no idea how to run damage calcs, but I'd imagine that would be the bigger factor since his chains are so backloaded in their damage.

I might put the Excalibur on Hyoh, and give the Ultima Weapon to Orlandeau, and give him a Lightbringer and change Katana Mastery and Hill Digger to something else. This would allow my Hyoh and Orlandeau to chain together if I'm not mistaken, though I still need to learn how exactly to do it lol.

Not sure where I should start looking at TMRs to improve my units from here though. I have a few options, including not increasing these three units too.

Options include:
Strategic Cape (for Trance Terra, currently at 1.2%)
Mystic Sash (for Trance Terra, currently at 0%, not sure if better than Ring of Lucii)
Desch's Earring (If I fuse my 3 Desch together, I'll have 23.4%)
Pure White Blessing (for my Ayaka, currently at 14.9%)
Acceptance (For Ace, currently at 35.7%)
Flame Blade Agni (for Hyoh, currently at 5%)
Tonitrus (for Hyoh, currently at 45%)
Hoemaru (for Orlandeau if I decide to flame chain with Hyoh? currently at 75% [would be a waste])
Get TMRs for 5* Bases that don't have them unlocked yet I guess as well.

I don't know what I should be looking to equip on Trance Terra, but I think she has claim to pretty much all my mage gear that I can give her.

Ayaka and Fina get different stuff at 7* iirc. Fina gets more reraise stuff, and Ayaka gets HP Barriers. Fina was in batch 3, so at our current rates that's probably 3-5 months away.

Ayaka is far more resilient along with her bubbles, while Fina is more multitooled.

It's more that the boost feels weak for stoss spear. If it was like what the bow can get I would assault the castle.
