Looking at my CG Lid, i don't equip anything on her.

Just run her breaks, maybe I should change that.

Just ensure it improves her survivability, maybe toss in some support item if you want.

I'm guessing that since I don't have the Doll Hat, any Action TMRs, Ramuh's Exp Skill, and only 1 Egg, that the Exp Vortex is still inferior to Cactuars fusing one at a time?

Best I can tell from my stuff, I can run 1 Egg, an Anniversary Item, and Divine Blessing, which I think nets me 2.1x?

Lol.... Even with that odd buddy with fully decked 700atk, with exp gear(And wtf M. Slime shield), Hyoh with lv 1 lb we barely broke the 25th hit before raid boss going down. <_>

Well I finally broke down and pulled on the Malphasie step up banner. Only finished up to step 3 so far, and don't have her or Circe yet; I figure I'll wrap it up when I can, and I'll either get a unit that's really awesome or a very solid TMR out of it. I did get a Fohlen on the first step, and my guaranteed rainbow was my third Seabreeze Dark Fina. And one of the tickets from the raid netted me my second Emperor, so yay?

Rainbows are rainbows. Can't complain after the massive dry spell I had.

I'm skipping until Halloween. I want to possibly get a second GL Sakura and DracuLaswell to see what their 7*s are like.

In other news, today was a good day. I got around to doing some older content and knocked out 3* Lakshmi, Stag Trial (all missions), and Ice Bird Trial (didn't get Ifrit Summoned). I kind of under estimated how much damage my Trance Terra was going to do to the Ice Bird, and she one shot him by herself without buffs since I didn't want to waste the Chaos Chain but still wanted to build up the Esper Gauge. It's all good though, I'm not sure if that ice damage ability is worth a rerun or not though.

So I finished up my pass on the step-up banner. Not able to do more than that, but all things considered, I walked away with a pretty sweet haul.

Step 1: Folhen (my first)
Step 2: Nothing in the banner itself, but the 4* ticket got me an Emperor (my second)
Step 3: Guaranteed rainbow was Seabreeze Dark Fina (my third)
Step 4: CG Lid (my third) and Dark Veritas (my first)
Step 5: The 50/50 shot nabbed me Circe, which at least is a pretty damn amazing TMR

At this point I'm feeling kinda down, because I missed my best shot at Malphasie. But to get the last bit of lapis I needed, I bought the summer bundle that came with a few tickets. Immediately pulled on the 4* ticket.

Yes! Got my Malphaise! And I know I'm going to love this unit, so I have absolutely no qualms about using my UoC to get her 7*. Oh hell yes, I am psyched! Folhen is probably the worst pull there, everything else is either a solid TMR, a 50% moogle, or a pretty good unit in their own right. Yeah I blew my stash for GL Sakura, but you know what? I got a unit I'm going to love using, and that's what matters. And even if I hadn't, I got a lot of stuff to help my box out anyway.

It is, but if I'm going for pure ATK then I have Atoning Dragoon Kain, and I'm not really bothering to farm his TMR either. I'm not necessarily saying his was a bad pull, it's just the one I'm going to get the least mileage out of. Well, maybe Dark Veritas as well, as I have plenty of DR chainers, and far better breakers.

DV has a killer TMR and that's about it. He's useful for some trials/bosses for support as well.

Dragoon Helmet is pretty decent but I prefer prishe's hairpin personally.

I know I'm using mine as soon as Malphasie is in the pool. I feel much less bad about that now, as the last summer ticket just gave me my second Basch, so I don't have to save for a tank anymore.

So is the way this FFXV event's bonus units are being handled going to be the norm from now on? Because I really, really like the fact that I can pretty much field an entire team of units and not have to pull on the new banner once.

Armor of Oppression finally down. Just decided to moogle the last bit of a Quick Assault I needed to finally hit 100% evasion via gear. I knew the trial was easy with that even with 6* units, so I instead decided to blast him with Reberta and Malphasie. Reberta didn't 1-shot, but I don't think I had a strong enough Ice imperil.

Now to start looking into an actual challenge. Brachium would be nice.

I hate esper kill missions. Those more than anything else seem to love to fail for no reason that I can discern. Bahamut was well within the chain, most assuredly did plenty of damage, and yet Brachium apparently didnt die to an esper. And I know a 10% moogle isnt worth the stamina, but dammit, I want that complete clear!

I've always thought it had to be the final hit in the chain or in general for it to count as a kill.

So I tend to just time it to hit at the end no matter what.

Normally I find that as long as I hit the esper button after Ive initiated my chain, then no matter when the esper hits it counts. Same with LB kills. But lately Ive been having issues with that working, as if the enemy dies before the esper animation has a chance to start, the attack will cancel and wont hit at all. But apparently thats not the case with Brachium, either because it has just enough HP, or I dunno what. What matters is I have my complete clear and an awesome set of crowns.

For what it's worth, when I used to play I thought you got credit as long as you hit an esper/limit damage tick when the boss's lifebar was depleted. So if you hit a long chain that killed a boss and the esper finished all its attacks before the lifebar was actually empty you didn't get credit even if it was involved in the fatal chain

Maybe I was wrong but I feel like every time I failed that was the reason

It's 1 of 2 things.

1)you kill the boss before the esper can get their attack off and no attack happens even though the animation does.

2)The esper gets their attack off...but before the bar depletes.

Either make it the attack that finishes it or make it hit during overkill.

I just count to 2 after casting the Esper and then chain, but I also know the chain by itself will kill the target too.

She apparently has triple cast for 3 turns locked behind a 6 turn cooldown. People on the FFBE board are in all out rage mode over that, because it apparently makes her useless and terrible.

You want to keep Ouroborus/Premonition rolling for quad/dual casting and imperils.

Or chain with flood or quake to build up towards those above.

Hashiko's trial was annoying but tolerable.

Once the MP drain was dealt with, the rest was just wearing it down. Sucks that all my friends were Hyoh, but Fryevia helped keep the damage decent.

Ayaka as stone removal(cause no Hyoh status resist :/) and mp battery.

Hoooly crap, I finally took the time to put everything into FFBE Equip. Maaaan, that's nice. Gotta remember to keep this updated. I just wish it was able to handle status ailments a little better; it seems to really have trouble with that, when I know I can just slap Seed of Hope and Augmentation Glasses on someone like Reberta, and I know I'm good, while still getting good stats. But it is a BiS builder, so I guess it has to brute force that.

She has some real nice power but I mean youd need a good tornado chainer to make her worth a damn cause youd want some imperil action. Luckily there is no shortage of good tornado chainers.

The fan fests unit is probably gonna be the bomb though. Aurora Fryevia? Sign me up. Might actually be able to go to that fan festa so I can get a free unit.

6* Malphasie also has Wind and Dark Divine Ruination-frame attacks, so she can work with anyone in that family. Her DR attacks also self-imbue, so you dont have to run any elemental weapons on her. So yeah, Id say her 6* is already pretty amazing as is.

I think her 7*s main appeal is the Aureole Ray chaining, which is why I want it. Ive got Loren 7* ready to go, and Im really wanting to use her because I love her design, and Im tired of relying on DR and Tornado for chaining. Its just gotten dull.
