I heard they often see it your way and pick up the flag when you do that

Did he get flagged for arguing with the ref? You don't see that happen much in the NFL. I kinda like that because at least it's usually pretty consistent. In the NBA and MLB I don't really know what it takes for them to call a tech/eject a guy. Sometimes it seems very inconsistent, like you'll see a guy barely say a word and he gets thrown out, but sometimes they get in the ump's face for a couple minutes and don't get thrown out

That seems like evidence of how good they are to me.

The Cards bullpen is a mess. There isn't really a single pitcher in it I trust at all. The rotation is shaky but next to the pen it looks amazing.

Brebbia and Hicks are ok

I guess. But they still aren't guys I'm terribly comfortable with with the game on the line. Hicks especially.

The Brewers' rotation are shaky as well. The bullpen I trust Hader and Jeffress. Jeffress is hurt, so if the Brewers make the playoffs I don't see them going far because they don't have a consistent starter they can rely on.

If the Brewers make it into a real round of playoffs they're definitely going to be leaning hard on Hader. Good chance he's Joe Buck's pet this year I'd say. Not counting his longtime choice of Javier Baez, of course.

The Cardinals have two starters I trust - Mikolas and Flaherty - and I don't trust either one to pitch into the sixth inning. Wainwright's last two starts suggest a guy that can give you 4-5 decent innings hopefully. Then I guess you turn it over to Gomber as the #4 and keep Gant ready from the first inning. And this is all getting ahead of myself because the Cards may not even reach the play in game let alone the NLDS. Thanks Matheny!!!

I trust Freeland and Marquez. I trust them to get six innings in the regular season but in the playoffs, if it's anything like last year then the expectation for starters is that like three innings was a "good" start. Gray is the kind of guy you don't necessarily expect to have a good start like the other two but you know he could have one; for better or for worse he's clearly their number 3. Then after that I'd say probably Senzatela should get in the playoff rotation over Anderson but neither guy excites me at all.

The bullpen isn't good but they've been streaky all year, and right now they're on a good streak... which means they're probably due to collapse at the worst possible time. Pretty much every bullpen sucks though so whatever
