He was suspended first with pay but now Chief James Craig said he has been removed from the force effective immediately He voluntarily removed his racist post but it was already shared across the internet and he had no choice but to fire his behind. Sean says he was extremely sorry for saying what he did but didn't mean to come off the way it did and said he's NOT racist.. However, Craig said that his "reasoning certainly didn't pass muster. I mean, what were you trying ot say? What was the true intent of your statement? Highly insensitive..Our officers were deeply troubled by him making these comments". He's only been working there for TWO MONTHS because he had to take the academy TWICE before finally being accepted. According to Dailymail, he did not pass the academy because of LOW TEST SCORES as his written tests on his knowledge were fairly low and he barely passed the second time. If you read the article the average IQ is 104 putting cops above average for intelligence and the guy who was rejected had an IQ of 125 which is 95th percentile. So really it's more like being dramatically smarter than than the average citizen is a dealbreaker for hiring which is a bit different than saying being intelligent in general. You could just as easily attribute it to departments worrying about attrition as you could assuming they don't want smart people for nefarious reasons. Extremely smart people tend to have a lot more options than average or slightly above average people and it isn't cheap to train police. Hiring people who will be gone next week when they line up a better job isn't good. It's the same reason why lower skill jobs don't want to hire people with Ph. Ds.
