Also because "Gold Experience" is like three syllables longer. I can't remember any of the other renames that were that drastically different off the top of my head, though I won't deny the possibility I'm forgetting one.

Finished the first episode of Vento Aureo. I love the art. Feels like a nice even mix of 3 and 4. This is good.

Love Giorno's new VA. Didn't like his All Star Battle VA. Disappointed they didn't get Bruno's All Star Battle VA though. That guy nailed the ARIARIARI!

Anyway, two episodes watched so far. Not sure how much else I'm gonna check out this season.

Ms. Vampire Who Lives in My Neighborhood was fairly meh. It has a good premise and solid characters, but the humor isn't good. Also the person who made the title may have also TL'd the episode, with great TLs like changing "I could go to jail for breaking and entering!" to "I'd be crushed by the guilt!"

Our Maid Is Too Annoying! on the other hand was great! The animation is insanely good, the characters are all hilarious, and the humor is totally on point. This feels like it has so much more effort put into it!

Bloom Into You did not feel much like Citrus to me at all. I won't say it's impossible because this genre can be especially prone to stuff like that in my experience, but it does seem unlikely at this stage based on episode 1.

As far as yuri series go the one I'd compare it to most right now (if anything at all) is Aoi Hana. (I don't think you've seen that, but just in case)

Had to pause, but finally got back to Uzamaid. I have pretty much nothing bad to say about this show. A big part of it is the excellent directing and production values. It's one of the better looking shows of the year at times, and it's easy to see the exact same show being terrible at a lesser studio.

My only worry is that there's little doubt in my mind that the production values are just an episode 1 thing.

The episode was OK I guess. Should be fine as long as they don't completely botch 3-1 3-4 and 3-5

Boarding School Juliet has no business being this good. Too many shows on my plate, I almost didn't even want to like this.

Well, this could be. I will say that the anime definitely ended in the middle of the story, so if what you're thinking of comes later on then that's most likely the case.

From what I remember though, Aoi Hana was mostly a lighthearted romance. There was some drama involved, but even when it was there it felt different than the drama in Citrus to me. The only way I can think to describe it is that Citrus had drama that felt like "soap opera drama" whereas Aoi Hana didn't. Can't think of a better way than that to describe it. Maybe Aoi Hana was more mellowed drama whereas Citrus was kind of just throwing in DRAMA all over the place for the sake of it.

I will also say my memory of Aoi Hana is not great, so it's possible I'm just totally wrong.

I mean I've liked a lot of parts of the series, so your my mileage may vary.

I've always been of the opinion that when SAO is on-point it's a very very good show, and that applies on some level to pretty much every arc of the series. (Though some arcs have larger portions than others which are not on-point.)

Try as I might, I don't really respect anything in the series pre-MR other than the murder mystery episode and the time after Kirito's first arena loss to what's his name and before Yui showed up.
