I'm a big believer in artists being able to create what they want, but people shouldn't be belittled for choosing to not consume something with content they aren't comfortable with.

I sometimes wish Monogatari didn't have all the loli and incest shit so more people would give it a try, but Nisio has every right to put it in if he wants, and people who find that too much to enjoy should just chose to not watch/read it.

Monogatari is a good example. The quality of the series is so high that I give it a pass, but it still bothers me. Non consensual sexual content is an enormous multiplier on the NOPE scale for me, though. All it would take is one scene and Monogatari would be ruined.

I understand the artistic integrity argument, but all it does around here is remind me of Vlado pissing himself because they gave the loli in Xenoblade pants.

I will say that I've seen LTM bash someone for liking something (example: Killing Bites) but even there I took it as good-natured hyperbole. Not sure I've ever seen anything from him about someone not liking something but I haven't been a part of this topic series for as long as the rest of you.

It was a very long time ago yes, but it was still a decent way after the infamous rape scene I think. My nieces will be in their 40s before Berserk ever finishes though so Im gonna be an old man before I even get to read it all

There was one X360 game (Ninety-Nine Nights) where you Dynasty Warriors-murder your way through a goblin village, panicking women and terrified children included. I remember it made me feel really shitty to be doing that and that's why I stopped playing it, so I'm glad video games don't have that (at least as something the player is forced to do).

I think there was outrage for a trophy for Dante's Inferno or maybe it was for Dead Space? it was like a babystomper or babykiller trophy, I forgot which. I thought that was hilarious.

I'm also squeamish towards animal cruelty, but only in 3D, and sometimes in 2D if the act was really elaborate and not something simple like Jojo style mutilations of animals

Hey @Robazoid I watched Anima Yell

it was kinda okay I guess. The first scene with the cheerleading was fun since it had solid animation and a nice upbeat song. Made me smile. I always liked the Chair jokes. Wasn't a fan of the rest of the episode though. The main character's pretty annoying, and her voice was terrible. I feel like she did a much better job as Serval in Kemono Friends.

Definitely the inferior Dogakobo show of the season!

Well, I watched the first episode UzaMaid. I thought it was pretty good, and definitely not as creepy as that concept could have been portrayed as. There were some good jokes and I like all the characters so far, plus the animation is shockingly good.

Still, it's definitely the inferior Dogakobo show of the season! All hail Anima Yell!
