So yeah, I just lost my drive in this one, it felt like every lynch was set, other than Scare and D1.

I thought the reasoning behind it was valid though. At the time I felt his "bet" was being used to undermine my post, which with my understanding of the rule would make it a valid reason to modkill. I didn't realize I shouldn't do it in topic but live and learn.

It's just really that pushing for a modkill is against the spirit of the game. You should use that as a reason to push a lynch, not get host intervention.

I really thought he'd wind up getting confirmed once rolecop flipped. Like it makes so much sense (and makes no sense for town to claim miller there) that I thought it would get him town confirmed just because of how well it fits with rolecop. I almost changed it to vanilla at the last second but both puns and reg liked the interaction so I kept it.

Oh yeah. As for my modkill, I wanted to try to hammer Sheep, but give myself enough time where hopefully Red had already hammered Chris. If he didnt post yet and i hammered Sheep then so be it. I waited like 15 seconds after 10:15. Tried to get around the rules. But they can;t be escaped.

I have no idea where the hostage stuff came from >_>

The role PM said something like "you have no actions but any actions you gain throughout the game will not be detectable by tracking roles". This was just so he didn't see his PM, go "oh I'm probably a miller or something like that" and then claim right away. Sort of an incentive to keep quiet because maybe you are a power role.

Chris did intend it as a joke, all is forgiven, but yes I was afraid I might have to call the game because I thought plum was about to actually kill his teammates since he appeared to be taking Chris seriously on it for...some reason.

it happened but it was kind of obviously a joke. it's like PMing someone to say "you're playing well keep it up" which is, like, wrong to do, but, y'know, you can't expect the person to think you're still in the game and are trying to recruit them to third party with it

a few thoughts on my own play:

i feel like i played this game basically as well as I could, minus perhaps the claim... when I was doing nothing but play the game. When I was literally spending every spare moment I had looking into things, coming up with arguments, driving all three mislynches, I was golden. But the second I even showed a hint of slack, a hint of spending my time doing literally anything else, I got destroyed for it. Got to the point where I had to spend Sunday translating about 20k characters just to catch up on my commitments there (to put this in perspective: most translators consider 3k to be a full day's work).

and it's infuriating to get suspected because I can't be on the game 24/7, because I tried to have a life outside of work and this game on d2. More infuriating to see other players find my play inferior to others' when, quite frankly, I was never in danger of being lynched and drove every successful lynch.

this is also why I was frustrated with Plum for not just winning the game d4: because this game was killing me and I needed it to end. But that's neither here nor there.

That was because everyone kept bringing up she was being held hostage. That was what got me assuming maybe it was 4+dragon+an Indy.

Obviously I took this seriously as chris is still technically in the game as part of the town chat, so I immediate asked to see if I could glean insight into if this was legitimate (In my game of thrones mafia game I actually did have a power that gave scum the oppurtunity to defect)

Turned out it was just a joke in a game where you really really shouldnt do that.

I changed my claim because originally I thought I was going to get powers so I claimed vanilla knowing I wouldn't be seen but when it really started to look like I was going to be lynched I wanted people to be weary of scum claiming tracker/watcher roles
