We're trying to ween our daughter off of the boob, and she was nonstop crying until about 4:30 in the morning. Wreath 10/12/18 12:01:04 PM #6:	Depends on the age but it's hard the first few nights. Same when you get them to fall asleep on their own. Crying wont hurt them, as sad as it can sound. They will tire out eventually and learn to sleep without it. It's going to be a few rough nights but you have to stick with it. When he/she is restless and looking for pacifier give her/him a blanket to cuddle and keep reassuring them. Young babies generally cry when they need something or they feel bad physically, so without any knowledge, it would sound like she's not getting enough formula? If the child is older (like a year?) then sure, you're just gonna have to deal with it. As long as she's healthy. Pacifier is a little bit different. You just gotta stop and be firm and the kid will cry and you've just got to let her self-soothe.
