Wow, what in the hell?

Maybe they're trying to stop friends from boosting each other with intentionally marked down cards?

They are trying to regulate their auction hall to keep things expensive so people pay real money to actually play the game.

They can get away with this shit because "hardcore" gamers don't really play sports games, so they don't make as much of a stink out of this than people that play sports games. Same shit goes on in FIFA, and nobody cares. Whole thing is fucked.

I'll reserve judgement until we learn exactly what the guy did to get banned. I've seen way too many forum posts over the years from people who were "playing normally" and then try to stir up a riot when they get banned. Most of the time they completely deserve their punishment. Support messages tend to be incredibly vague about bannings for several reasons, making it really easy to play the victim.

And with that...pow! I'm gone!

The post is a compilation of several users who have all been banned for normal use of the auction house service

Is there any evidence that they were all using the auction house normally? Have any of them gone into detail about exactly what they were doing?

Considering it's basically Microtransaction: the Game, I'm not sure why anyone would want to play it in the first place.

Because sports fans need their fix, I guess. It's the only NBA game.
