Bleem is an emulator, but I'm talking about a physical piece of hardware, sold and marketed by the original console maker.

The Bleemcast was never realised, and neither was the Phantom. Stop trolling us, Cyric.

Hayame and Neon are partially correct.

Both the Colecovision AND the Mattel Intellivision actually sold their own hardware, basically another chunk of plastic, that slapped into the side of the original console, and you could play Atari 2600 games on it!

The magic they concocted for this was just to basically have an actual Atari 2600 PCB set inside there. No emulation required if you just use the actual hardware and sell it as an adapter! The main console simply provided power and RF modulation.

I understood this was made further possible due to the Atari VCS (2600) using off-the-shelf components.

Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images.
