And I am getting tired of people here claiming they don't know who the fuck she is
This is just like people thought Agent 47 was going to be the next Tanner and were surprised to see he didn't suck that much
It's just people here putting their head in the sand and are not aware of things outside of the board

And no, Shantae is not just popular because of porn, her games are legit (some people call them Metroidvanias but they are more like 2D Zelda)
Her GBC game is one of the few non-terrible GBC games
Risky's Revenge and The Pirate Curse were legit good games and Half Genie Hero kickstarter had 1 million dollar donations
She is not unknown, she is not a turbo fodder, so don't be surprised if she breaks 30% on Yoshi thanks

I don't know if she'll hit 30% against Yoshi, but I agree that Shantae will outperform expectations. She's a very visually-striking character (not talking about TJF either), her games have consistently been acclaimed and have a solid cult following, and demand for her inclusion in Smash Ultimate has given her some extra visibility as well.

She'll be fodder, and Yoshi is a particularly bad opponent for her to face, but I don't think she'll be turbofodder or a bottom-10 character. Shantae would wipe the floor with Chloe Price, Cayde-6 and Hat Kid, let's be real.

Shantae will likely suffer platformer SFF from Yoshi making her look way weaker than she actually is.

Also I like playing as Bolo in Friends to the End so the games aren't just waifu platformers.
