I HAVE it on the DS or whatever but I got annoyed with the puzzles in like the first room...but we took a different route this time and also there were like a half dozen of us so we got through em okay

the route we took: not the group with Snake in it, not taking a bookmark from Santa, bein' a jerk for absolutely no reason and ditching lotus and clover so we could be with the waifu. We were about to put Lotus in the torture chair or whatever when I left, and then as I was leaving apparently three people showed up dead.

we were PRETTY SURE June was the culprit but I also have my eye on Snake (there was no face to identify!) and Santa (Zero responded to him at some point even though he's probably pre-recorded)

Now I'm curious again! ....But I am not a big fan of this type of puzzle stuff so I will probably either fire up an LP or see if the host was serious about having us over again to finish it

If you're at least mildly intrigued, definitely keep playing. And not an LP or anything. It's mostly a VN so playing it isn't that much more than watching it. But it's worth it in the end.

I've done it with a Telltale game (Walking Dead S1E1). One person who knows what they're doing actually plays for all of the action sequences, while everyone else calls out the choices to make.

It's always fun to just hear everyone discuss theories and which characters they like or dislike. Straight VNs with less gameplay (even like ZE, where the gameplay is puzzle-solving that isn't timed) should even be more fun in that regard, since it's even easier to make it into a participation-based game.

I think the Steam release has voice acting, but yeah, you could do it that way as well.
