the little girl said that the dinos would die in that room if she didn't press the red button, but why would the dinos die in there? And if they got out it means that they would all procreate or something once they got out of that room?

Wasn't there like a gas leak or something that was going to kill them? Plus if nothing else they'd eventually starve being locked up with no one left to care for them.
