Every now and then after I happen to get a surprise match right (Had Bowser) I check the leaderboard to see if I somehow undeservedly snuck on only to remember each time I'm like 20 points back and crazy to think my bracket belongs anywhere but the trash bin. >_>

case in point: despite having zelda here i'll break even with the pack because I took geralt one match too far.

I dont think rallies are having a noticeable effect here, honestly. Not this round, anyway

Yeah, the vote totals are pretty much in line with other matches right now, so the rallies probably aren't having much effect.

Im not sure theyll end up affecting the result at all, but even having to think about them is fucking exhausting, and I think theyll keep coming up in close matches given them (possibly, though I think not) flipping Tifa/X.

Eh, rallies happen in every close match and have for years. The effect is usually minimal at best though.

I know that you get worthless rallies in most close matches. The Tifa/MMX ones were relatively strong, though. There were also like 5-10 Tifa ones.

Basically I just think that people are going to put more effort into rallying, and that makes it more likely that some of them will actually do something.

Castlevania season 1 complete! Didn't realize it was only four episodes, although season 2 has eight. The season finale was pretty great, especially the fight at the end between Trevor and Alucard. I liked Trevor's character arc here, even if it did feel a little rushed due to the fact that the season was only four episodes. This Sypha girl seems pretty cool, too, so I'm looking forward to season 2.

This is pretty close to what I did for my main bracket that is currently 8th on the leaderboard. If I actually had Mario over Snake on winner's side, I would be pretty upset. Fortunately I've known for a long time now that I'm not in the running for prizes due to the Snake pick.

Thanksgiving isnt super meaningful to me (at least given that Im doing it with friends instead of family since its hard to justify flying back for Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas), but Im not sure Ill be up for interacting with people all day and forcing myself not to be overtly upset.

Yeah, it sucks having to interact with people when you don't feel up to it, but it could also help you get your mind off of whatever it is by just getting out there with a bunch of friends.
