I used to be so afraid of dorrie from mario 64.This thing:
p9AKyy8

Idk why. It just freaked me out as a kid. I was also a fraid of that red eel thing:

o6TSxo9
but at least that was designed to look menacing

what kind of stupid shit were you afraid of?

Dorrie was a little freaky-looking, tbh, and the eel's mechanics made it slightly scary.

The giant eel didn't scare me for long as a kid since it wouldn't really do much but the giant fish that eats you whole always freaked me out especially when I knew it was nearby.

One thing that I couldn't stand was in Oot with the creepy music from the forest temple music on top of wall masters which put me off from playing for years until I stomached the courage to keep going.

There was a game you'd hate then wasn't even much of a game rather than a safety warning dressed up as one. But basically all you did was see how far you could swim before dying and the worst part is it seemed like it used live action footage for the gameplay from a first person point of view

Anyways for me bees. Still scared of wasps though. And heights but if you can make me feel reasonably secure I'm good.

ET himself never scared me, but the scene with the scientists invading the house in hazmat suits scared the hell out of me. There was just something about that scene that was genuinely terrifying, and it was made worse as a kid not knowing exactly what a hazmat suit was so I didn't realize what was going on.

One weird thing that used to always scare me as a kid is a zamboni machine. Zamboni machines are those things that refreeze the ice on a skating ring. I remember going to Ice Capades shows and whenever the zamboni would come out my parents would have to take me outside because I would get scared and start crying. Seriously. I distinctly remember that even today.

I used to be scared of game over screens back in the Ps1 days. Also, in some games, I used to get really nervous when I had to face some specific enemies or bosses, I tried to avoid them as much as possible even if that meant not exploring the whole level.

Also bees, wasps and similar bugs. Those still make me feel uneasy nowadays.

Tubba Blubba from Paper Mario used to TERRIFY me during the part of the story where you literally couldnt do a thing to hurt him. And all of the sections that had you sneaking around with Peach always had me fearing for my life.

Weirdly enough, even though I can't swim and have a little fear of drowning, I don't mind deep water with a life vest on. I actually have a lot of faith in life vests and wetsuits because of my trip to Australia...
