The problem is that people feel like the DC movies need to be as built up as the Marvel movies, but thats never been DC's forte, so it didn't work out well cramming everything together, and it was Avengers 1 when people (and WB) were looking for Avengers 3 I think DC should go back to how their old comics worked, where everyone just did their own thing. Every once in a while, if Batman was having a lot of trouble, Superman might come and help, but that was isolated from whatever Supes was doing at the time (as if you didn't need to read 900 comic books so you could follow the story) <cite>Proto_Spark posted [p:912715057] in Why was Ju... Trying to mix tones like that is like dunking cookies in Worcestershire sauce. It doesn't matter how good the chef is, it's not going to made tasty unless you change either of those things to be something they are not. Everything has to be a cinematic universe now, it's a hip thing (and Hollywood loves it because then they can sell you at the end of every movie, instead of giving you a true ending). But if DC actually wants to challenge Marvel, they should do it by making great, standalone movies of different tones.
