I was going to build one on Cyber Monday, but some stuff came up and I had to hold off on it. Should I just get one in the coming months or wait until next Cyber Monday?

January has some good sales? I haven't bought PC parts in like 4 years so I'm out of the loop. Like New Years sales or what?

You can keep an eye out for other sales through the year. Make note of the prices you had wanted to pay now and watch for similar prices.

That's the thing though, I was just going to hop on sites and look to build a PC for 1200-1500. I have no idea what kind of parts I could've afforded with that much.

The main site there is handy for deciding on your parts to begin with, but most importantly, their blog highlights some of the best deals from this past weekend. You can sift through that to try and figure out what you might have been paying, and give you at least a rough ballpark of what hardware and prices to hope for moving forward.

Idk for sure. But I heard new egg is good for parts. And that they have sales throughout the year. Like different sales each month or something. So, you could do like adjl said and wrote downs some of the prices now. And look for similarly priced items during the year to buy... maybe...

Consoles work better. Cheaper, less hassle, and far removed from Steam.
