I'm talking about Reset Era in particular:
https://www.resetera.com/threads/fortnite-streamer-drdeadmoth-physically-abuses-so-on-live-stream.86059/

People are siding with the wife without questions.

Just to be clear, I am not saying he is a victim or anything like that.

It seems like their relationship has been pretty shitty for some time and that doesn't allow him to hit her at all.

However, it seems like she was throwing stuff at him and doing other things that can't be seen in the video. Maybe she was even hitting him. We don't know for sure.

But I just hate how things are one sided on the internet. It's like this all over the internet.

If he hit her in defense then that was in defense. I can't tell from the video. But if he hit her just for the hell of it, then yeah, that's messed up. Domestic violence is never okay.

I just hate how people get one sided without knowing all the details. For example, if a woman starts hitting a guy non stop, and the guy defends himself, you'll see a lot of people side with that woman. I'm just using that as an example because I've seen people comment like that. And this example can be done the other way around as well.

Anyways, I see this type of comments on Reset Era a lot. It's one of the reasons why I left that place (the other reason is that if you don't agree with their agenda, you'll get suspended or banned). I mostly just go there because I find video game news there pretty fast.

Luckily I don't see much of that on gamefaqs. Then again, I only visit a couple of places here on gamefaqs.

Are you actually saying that the guy should have hit this woman over her actions? You should see a counselor, you clearly have no idea of what a healthy relationship looks like. If she was abusing him, the response is to walk away, not hit her back.

I mean if its a forum devoted to a single show, I would think most of the input would be from 1 side.

Lets be clear, I think everyone should be able to defend themselves against anyone. If a woman attacks a man and isn't stopping and that man has no other means hit her.

However, this guy clearly slaps his wife with enough force to be heard on camera out of anger. His response to whatever she was doing was not reasonable. In fact, he even says it happened because she wasn't leaving him alone (she was trying to turn off his computer because she finished dinner and he wasn't eating it). It's clearly a toxic relationship and maybe she was throwing things, but you can tell from the video he didn't hit her to protect himself.

Add to all of that he blatantly bitch smacked his wife live for an audience.
