Its relative. Top 10 isn't a great performance for MM's standards when he has literally always been top 10.

1) MM was above Crono in 2013
2) MM just recently got MM11
3) MM is in Smash Ultimate which is on day 3 of release and Crono is not

Its pretty bad for MM to lose to Crono under these conditions

Youre forgetting crono is stronger than MM outright right now. Makes sense with low votals. So MM maybe is being boosted. Just not enough to beat Crono.

I mean its possible, but Crono didn't really look that impressive failing to break 55 on Bowser and barely cracking 43 on Cloud. Remember Megaman was 5th in the (lol) X-stats in 2013. I find it hard to believe MM boosted and still lost to Crono here, seems more likely MM just didn't boost.

So how the hell can you explain why Snake did better on Zelda than Mario, but is getting blown up by Samus?? Zelda must be boosting in between rounds or there is some weird hierarchy going on.

he isnt really all that much. Crono is no longer significantly weaker in the day. just look at his two matches against Bowser, he held his percentage almost entirely. in 2010 (i think that was the year he faced Bowser before this?) he fell like a rock from 62% all the way down to 57%

Yes Zelda likely caught a bandwagon.

Also it seems either Crono got stronger since last contest somehow, or Magus leeched him pretty badly in 2013. Or Pikachu is weaker somehow, which could be possible.

I think the best explanation is that Zelda beat Snake via natural strength and then used Hentai rallies to beat Mario.

Hentai Zelda > Mario > Zelda > Snake

Then hentai rally spillover into Samus today.

Crono's ability to pull out mini rallies for these clutch wins throughout the years is always a wonderful thing to witness.

Yeah, we won't know this is the case unless Allen decides to come forth with the traffic stats, but it's not like there isn't evidence of hentai rallies for Tifa and Zelda at all.

i think people are overrating the effect of Zelda's "role" on BotW

BotW itself made Link and Zelda much stronger, just by existing and being one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. it doesn't really matter what they do in the story. most of it is fully optional anyways. do you think most players got all the memories?

People only care for OoT/WW Ganon. He's hijacked the plot so many times that any boost he gets is nulled by annoyance of seeing him again.

This isn't a Crono style rally. This has been going on gradually for 20 hours.

Because ganon fucking sucks. He was terrible in TP only briefly appeared at the end as a final boss And was anonymous in BOTW until the very end which imo was lackluster boss fight.

Hes barely in any recent Zelda games bar WW and OoT in which he has a real presence. Didnt even appear in SS.

Its not a surprise he looked weak this contest.

TP sums your statement up. He just appears because zant is a weak mother fucker and all of a sudden ganon is here

Same with the oracle games where you just summon him from the death after beating both games as a final final boss. Absolutely shoehorned in what was two great games.

Taking credit for this Crono win. 100% of it. (If we had a competent admin it would be 0%)

MegaMan was BLATANTLY and UNQUESTIONABLY vote stuffing for 17 fucking hours.

And not one of you jackasses called it out, despite the fact that FOUR different times Crono got it within 20 or so, and every single time MM responded with an "out of nowhere" vote spike and would run it back out to 50-70 again, then Crono would close, then MM would cheat.

It was literally like GTA "barriers" but then again most of you didn't call out that blatant cheating either so go fig...

In the dead or Europe vote MM followed at mid 40s hour with a mid 50s hours, which was sandwiched by other 40's hours, and one more "wow" 50s hours when Crono got close again.

Then Crono spends the entire day catching up, does so, barriers again. At this point in time I finally call it out, by name. Crono takes the lead. Crono runs the lead to 30, incall before it even happens "random cuts incoming" MM cuts the next 4 times.

I call him for his blatant vote stuffing one last time pointing out of course that happened, there was never any doubt, and talk of how no lead is safe (less than 250 anyway) when they can cheat at least 10 votes an update....

And low and behold that's it.

The stuffing stops. Because of course it did, once I said Allen should B7 him.

Samus doing very well with the board vote could be bracket voting. Most people probably would have Samus at this spot in their bracket and probably don't have Mario here as well if they took Mario to reach Link in the Legends Bracket.
