TFA was safe and enjoyable enough. Flawed but overall a decent time.
TLJ was a dumpster fire that shits on the legacy of Star Wars.

Hopefully JJ can scrub some of Rian's mess but I'm not holding my breath. I just can't bring myself to care at all about the current direction of Star Wars anymore.

I enjoyed the films and they're still enjoyable to me, but they don't really feel like star wars. there's stuff i'd change, but tbh I could say the same about the prequels and pretty much everything but Empire

They feel soulless. I feel like there's no passion thrown behind these movies. Just big flashing dollar signs.

I can't blame Disney for adhering to their business model and churning these movies out so quickly though. Of course a big corporation would want to do that.

I just miss Lucas. The prequels were flawed but the worldbuilding was top notch and I felt like he had an actual vision with the prequels even if the dialogue was atrocious.

I like the prequels because of characters alone though but recognize that objectively theyre pretty shitty
