Why did Allen think it was a good idea to do so many of the same battles days later? He had to of seen this coming with the way the bracket was made. These are just wasted days when it should be among the most exciting matches at the end

Multiple repeat-matches have different results.

But I agree. I wouldve preferred a swapped seeding.

He should have swapped the positions to have fewer of these, I do agree.

HOWEVER, Mega Man changed the result in the Pikachu rematch and Samus is trying to flip on Mario. So they're not entirely predictable.

The runbacks are fantastic and show the unpredictability of these contests.

The "X always wins over Y" complaints are being shutdown hard.

It makes Link all that more special.

No, the honor of the Noble Nine changed the result with the Mega Man/Pikachu rematch. I'm sure that there was a lot of resentment against PokeFEAR still lingering here, and while they found it cute to topple him the first time, they were way less generous in a rematch. Especially since this is the same NNer that everybody had pushed so hard to defeat Charizard against all odds 5 years ago and barely managed to succeed.

As for the case of this Samus/Mario rematch, it's probably just #smartvoters thinking that if Mario couldn't defeat Zelda, then perhaps Samus could somehow repeat her 2006 performance against Zelda in the aftermath of the Ultimate SFF match.
