and there is no way anyone watched this at the time and had ANY FUCKING IDEA what was going on.

when the doctor goes to the fast food restaurant she is talking about the types of girls that she would like to kill the most, because their fear tastes the best. She says that she likes girls who are headstrong and don't have any fear. you see a young girl there talking to one of her friends, counseling her, offering her advice. the girl has glasses and is filling the role that suema usually fills when we see her helping friends in public. the doctor then says that this girl is going to be her next target.

can't remember how clear the anime made this, but in the book, it's a lot more clear; when the doctor plants evidence to frame Sasaki, she puts all of the information she collected on suema in his house. making it look like suema was going to be the next target. this is why suema thinks that if someone hadn't shown up and stopped the killer, she would have died. it's a huge part of her characterization that she believes she was going to be killed for reasons out of her control, and was saved for reasons completely out of her control, without ever knowing what was going on.

that be ing Suema wasn't exactly clear, but it was def suggested she was the next victim. Cool.

It's pretty good though yeah.

I tried to watch it when it first started, but I wasnt really feeling it. I didnt really watch more than 2 episodes I think though, but I dunno none of the characters did anything for me and there were a lot introduced fast. Had nice visuals though

was pretty disappointed last chapter, with zeke turning out to have such shallow motives. feels even more disappointing now to know that eren has so easily gone along with his shallow plan.

some cool scenes in here overall.

would have liked it better in the moment if zeke had just died, since it seems he should have, but maybe better in the long run for the story if he survives. still means the way he was written to live came across as sloppy and unsatisfying, similar to reiner coming back from the brink again and again. I just don't like that kind of writing.

feels like levi has just been saved as well so it's going to lead to more of the same; blowing up the carriage feels pointless if everyone in the explosion miraculously lives.

metal gear pieck at the end was good. always love to see more pieck.

This part of neverland had me so good when it was running. Easily the peak for me.

Maybe it's just how good the anime is being. Goldy Pond is like pure battle shonen though. I wonder how they'll adapt.

niitoki is very cute and pure

and yeah goldy pond is pretty interesting in how different it is. but I guess that is just change and evolution. it still felt natural to me, even if things are not the same as they were at the start.

yeah. I think ray's monologue here is one of my favorite moments in the arc, and just in the manga overall. and this episode had a ton of other great moments jammed into it.

Promised Neverland

I will say after episode 11 Emma is definitely now my favorite character in the show, if she wasn't already. (Which to be fair, she probably was)

I'm scared Mom is keeping Norman alive as a bargaining chip though. (There's of course a 100% chance he's still alive since they didn't show his death. The question is why.)
