There's also a banner for a brand new Fumi, where she has a rate-up and the two other stage girls shown on the side also have a slight rate-up. If you don't have a 4-star tank yet, or if Fumi is one of your favorite stage girls in the game, then it might be worth rolling this one. Otherwise, I'd say save for a Brilliance Fest or whenever one of your favorites gets a new 4-star.

Really wish I had the extra money to whale in final fantasy record keeper. FFIV banner right now is great and the summer fest banner with Lydia is amazing. Even if they bait and switch the secondary stuff on that one, the main things are amazing.

Nice, I got Xania as well after on my second single. I think I'll have a good stash ready for the anniversary. And I'm hoping whatever summer banner pops up is some basic swimwear bait because I can easily ignore that.

The good news: The game seems like a lot of fun, and the EN version is actually launching with more magical girls to start with than the JP version originally did.The bad news: It's very difficult/annoying to re-roll at the beginning. You don't get the 300 Magia Stones from the pre-registration promotion until the day after you start your game, and you have to complete all of chapter 1 (which can take 15-20 minutes even when skipping cutscenes, on top of any data downloads required through uninstalling/reinstalling the game to re-roll) for a free 10-roll. Until either of those things occur, you only have enough Magia Stones by default to do a couple of measly single rolls. I'll probably only roll a few times before I just settle for the best one I get.

There's also a new event in Revue Starlight ReLIVE out today, an out-of-season Valentines Day event with Junna as the gacha prize and Hikari as the event grinding prize. I don't think I'll type up a guide for this one like I did the past few, since I'll be busy learning my way around Magia Record.

Did you ever get this resolved? I saw a thread on r/MagiaRecord where several people were having the same problem. It might be fixed for everyone now (I don't know, I was lucky enough for it to not happen to me) or you could try one of the solutions suggested.

So I decided that I am going to re-roll MagiReco, but I'm going to use a different method. Since we'll all be getting more Magia Stones from the pre-register campaign tomorrow, my plan is to create as many different accounts as possible today (by playing through the tutorial, getting to the point where I can access the main menu, setting a transfer ID/password, writing the ID/password down somewhere, and then re-starting) and use them all tomorrow to re-roll with the free Magia Stones from the promotion. With this method, if I get a great roll on one account that would be perfect for someone else but not for me, I can just give the other person the transfer ID/password for that account.

Getting each account ready for this takes less time than the normal re-rolling because you only have to beat Chapter 1, Episode 2, Battle 2 to access to main menu instead of beating all of chapter 1 to get the free 10-roll ticket. You can do that as well for more rolls per account, but you're better off just creating as many accounts as possible as fast as possible to maximize your chances.

The top ones you can pull are 4-stars, which there are only five of in the game right now (Madoka, Mami, Rena, Momoko, and Kirika) outside of the free glasses Homura from the pre-registration campaign. Plus, there are some 3-star and 2-star characters (a former JP player on r/MagiaRecord listed Yachiyo, Tsuruno, Felicia, Kaede, Oriko, Nanaka, Asuka, and Sana as the useful ones available now) that will be very good once you max them out and get all of their memoria slots. The main girl Iroha is also very good once you max her out. That being said...

Out of my re-roll accounts, I have one account with Momoko, Nanaka, and (the coolest girl in the game) Kirika, and one account with Madoka and Kaede. I'm going to stick with the account that has Kirika, so if anyone wants the account with Madoka on it, let me know and I can PM you the info for it. I'd prefer to give it to someone who will actually play the game for a while and not just dump the game in a week or two though.

Also noteworthy: the JP server of Revue Starlight ReLIVE just got a huge update that overhauls the skills system, and a minor mistake in the EN server (check the error info part of notices) led to the revelation that our version of the game is likely getting the same massive update next month.

I hear ya. I absolutely hate the need to reroll in games (yes I know you dont have to, but that normally means you get road blocked quickly if you dont and arent willing to be a whale), so when I read about how bad reroll was yesterday I deleted it without trying it. Today I changed my mind and decided to at least give it a try. Went to collect daily mission rewards and when it went back to the main screen it told me there was an error and it needed to go back to the title screen. Load game and am told it needs to go back to the title screen. Restart app, same thing. Didnt go into the account transfer first, so that effort was a waste.

Lul I pulled Madoka



I just decided not to reroll, pulled her on the 4th batch of rolls that I got after clearing 2-4 or so? There's a 200 gem 10 pull pack in the shop.

I guess since I pulled the char I wanted, might give it a bit of chance. The game's buggy and slow though. I keep crashing for unknown reasons, once I thought I lost my account because it wouldn't let me past the main screen. It just keeps sending me to the title screen every now and then, which is annoying as hell

Also the UI is a mess. The back button is rarely ever valuable because it keeps putting every single action in the back stack lul. It's too hard to skip through the story without pressing skip because I'm usually quickly skimming through the texts. The voice acting is great, but the story is not something I wanna really slowly read though it's been moderately interesting. Also it takes way too many clicks to get to certain things, and the equipping of things is all over the fucking place and often not where you would want it to be. There's no textile feedback to any of the icons either, so they're saying I need all these things with basically 0 indication as to where I could get them, which is a huge problem.

Doing the story is also very unfulfilling. 3 gems when it needs like 20 for a single roll is a bit... eh. Kinda feels like I'll basically never have enough to roll most of the time. The universal 100 rolls for free 4* is not bad, but you're also not guaranteed which one you'll get, which sucks. Feels like it's built for people to be dolphins that become whales over a large period of time.

The battle system is also pretty luck based. I've seen some vids that only use like 2-3 characters, and I think I get why. You severely reduce the rng in the battle system and make it easier to do the link thing. Honestly, outside of basically being meatshields, I don't see the point of running a full team most of the time. It doesn't increase your damage in any way, maybe even weakens you if you don't happen to have a full team of really strong units, which by this point none of us do most likely. I might've liked a bit more variety and control, too. I hate the way it targets the next unit after you've already killed a unit or two.

There's also the matter of stamina. What's even the fucking point of stamina lmfao? I honestly just forget that this game exists because I play like 3 stages for like 5 min and then have to wait some undetermined amount of time before I get to play again. Horribly paced and probably aggressively detrimental to the game's enjoyment

I guess E7 has spoiled me a bit by actually being a legitimately crafted RPG. It's hard to get that in most gacha games. E7 and PAD are probably the two games I've played out of the countless gachas I've picked up and dropped that offered a legit interesting and thought provoking RPG experience, and Magia Record is definitely not on that tier. But it's also playable. I think if it starts getting harder and I spend the time to get those extra skill and magic shits, it might start either showing its inner polish or reveal its deeper inherent flaws.

This is why a lot of JP players don't recommend anyone but whales pull on anything but the main banner. With limited time banners, only whales would ever reach that guaranteed 4-star after 100 pulls. But with the main banner that's always there, that pity counter is always there as well.

Yeah, having a full 4-5 magical girls is actually more of a detriment in this game, because having a full team can lead to you getting RNG-screwed by the right attack disk not popping up and limiting your combo potential. It feels like 3 magical girls is the optimal amount, but some PvP players in JP even use just 2 to maximize their offensive connect/combo potential at the cost of having less HP to survive with.

Revue Starlight ReLIVE kind of has that situation too, where having more stage girls on your team lowers the chances of your best attacks being available, but the problem isn't nearly as dramatic as it is in Magia Record. Most players still use a full 4-5 on their teams.

I've heard JP players say that the game is very generous in terms of giving out stamina replenishing potions as rewards in events, so stamina shouldn't be nearly as much of an issue later on in the game's lifespan. Overall, I'm staying optimistic in terms of Magia Record's future and sustainability. Then again, I did manage to land a pair of natural 4-stars on the same account, so I'm golden for a while.

Hmm, didn't know AL was going to put in those French ships so fast. Looks like you can get a lot of the rarest ones by doing the coin-collecting event. Should be an easier grind after Glorious' horrible ambush-friendly maps.

Revue Starlight ReLIVE just got an update that added a new co-op mode called the Twilight Theater. I haven't tried it yet (not even in the JP version) but for those looking for something new to do in ReLIVE, there you go.

Really getting sick of Magia Record's turtle pace progression and lack of stamina.

Basically they don't want you to play their games for very long, and what you do play is extremely lackluster and boring. What a disappointment.

Like I literally do Madoka's training stage, the 20 stam one... and that's it lmfao. I can't play anymore for like 2 hours? That stage takes like a minute at most
