The heel turn was too quick. It was on par with Anakin Skywalker.

Season 8 is pretty bad but nothing will touch the epic shitfest that was TLJ.

I'm kind of surprised by the results tbh.

I have mixed feelings on The Last Jedi, but season 8 is just bad and was obviously handed in as a rush job.

It's probably because SW is a much older franchise with a larger fanbase. DxD are competent writers compared to what that fucker Rian Johnson did with TLJ.

Idk man, it was foreshadowed literally since season one, and the last three seasons have been hammering in that she was one push away from being mad. Maybe the execution was a little poor but it sure wasnt too quick.

Although I can see why a lot of people who have been on the Dany train the whole time can be pissed because the directors have been treating her as heroic despite her committing atrocities since the beginning. If every time Cersei did something evil it was accompanied by a heroic fanfare as she rode a dragon into sunset, youd bet people would think she was a hero too.

Season 8 isn't really bad I don't think, it's just painfully average and feels like a disappointing way to end the show.

TLJ was more bad than average.

She'd just said she would spare people in the bells rang then when the bells ring she snaps and roasts the entire city before going after Cersei. Yes, she was pretty much fated to go mad and the issue isn't that she did, but the issue is that the execution of it was just awful - along with butchering several other character developments at the same time. If they had had something better than the bells she'd acknowledged would be them surrendering then would have been far better, or given her some reason to actually make her snap that doesn't just look like they made it up 2 minutes before shooting.

Well she didnt really say anything about doing that. She gave a single nod, and proceeded to threaten to kill Tyrion. Shes explicitly stated multiple times in the past two seasons that she wanted to just storm in with dragons and destroy KL, only for Tyrion to try to talk her out of it time and time again. Tyrion, the guy who gave her poor advice on multiple occasions, and also vouched for his brother right before his brother abandoned their side. Dany was clearly done with his shit and explicitly stated that.

The trigger was still bells and that remains the primary issue. Yes, she was clearly slipping to being like her father despite her claims otherwise. The degradation of Tyrion to being an idiot hardly helped this and seemed to be largely done to help cement her down the path they wanted her at. Another thing that seemed to be a big issue - characters acting in ways to get them to certain places, rather than how they might otherwise or would normally in the past.

"Dany goes mad at the end, so after she's handily won some bells will trigger her" If the battle had started to go to shit or the people had resisted her then that would have been FAR better for her to finally snap and be done with them. But no. We got bells being her trigger.

And fair, yes, she did only give a nod rather than explicitly say anything but that didn't seem out of the ordinary.

I guess I'll have to go with TLJ.

The overall plot points in GoT could have worked, but they were rushed to the point that they were unbelievable and unreasonable. They clearly cut down on the episode count to save money, so I can lay part of the blame on the tv business.

TLJ had no excuses. That was just a stupid movie and there was no reason for it to be so.
