Was about to beat the gym in my library when it turns into a raid.

I was doing good against a 700 something Arcanine.

I did less well against a 44 thousand something Azepf, and ain't nobody joining raids anymore.

I play this casually because taking gyms gives me a dirty feeling inside almost like I'm vandalizing places. Don't bother powering up or evolving stuff until level 20-30, you'll keep catching higher CP pokemon as you level up.

No idea how I'm supposed to put together so many candies.

Also some motherfucker at the gym closest to my house has a goddamn shiny Dragonite. I am Joe's Writhing Jealousy.

While you're winding up a ball to throw, the Pokemon has a colored circle on it that changes size. If you land the ball inside of that circle, you'll score a Nice (large circle), Great (medium-sized circle) or Excellent (small circle) throw.

Oh, got it.

Thought it had to do with accuracy in general.

Was getting pretty annoyed at tagging a guy square on the nose for a Nice.

Same. Our downtown ends up with mobs. In winter it can be a traffic jam with people pushing cars out of snow every couple blocks lol. People are quick to help which was good to see

I do have a Sudowoodo in a gym now.

I swear said gym moves around. I had to wander the library for like 15 minutes to mess with it, then it skipped away.

Yeah, I know it sounds really really stupid hahaha. I live in a rural area where I pretty much have to drive to pokestops/gyms so it feels like I'm just venturing to a different part of town and being a bad boy by stealing the gyms probably inhabited by little kids

I've said it before and I'll say it again; fuck raids. Nothing more god damn annoying than trying to take a few gyms on the way home from work only to see a 45k Azelf occupying the places for another 43 minutes.

Hell at LEAST make the gym usable again for you once you kill the boss. Is that so preposterous? The whole idea is that a raid boss is attacking the area, so you kill the attacker and the gym is safe and usable again.

I also have "complete a raid" as one of my research things, which is never gonna happen.

It takes awhile to progress. Early on just save stardust until you're in the 20s range. That's the range most raid things come at and it can only level like 1-2 higher than your player level. Learn about IVs and get a calculator app for that.

There's also a ton of exp to be made by getting friend levels up.

I very rarely play the game anymore, but I do remember one trick that I mastered.

Try doing curve balls. To do them, just move the ball in a clockwise or counter-clockwise motion a few cycles, then release at an angle. The ball will spin and curve back the opposite way you released (depending on which direction you threw). I mastered it so that I always hit the Pokemon, just not necessarily within the circle. You get bonus stardust for catching a Pokemon with a curve ball.

I assume that means use a lucky egg then level up to four stars on friends?

People use a lucky egg and then try to evolve 40-50 pokemon. In the old days it was all about pidgey but theyre kind of rare nowadays lol.
