If you ever play any of the others then you'll want to avoid the Steam version of FF6. Those sprites are so goddamn awful compared to the original.

in 9 you have to wait 30 seconds to load each battle, that coupled with the high encounter rate is nuts. I know you picked 7, i'm just saying.
