He was. He shot his jacket for a reason. Regardless, he still used John wick to save his business. Pretty sure John is still going to be pissed at him and give him more reason to kill him and fulfill his mission.

He was. He shot his jacket for a reason. Regardless, he still used John wick to save his business. Pretty sure John is still going to be pissed at him and give him more reason to kill him and fulfill his mission.

My theory is that both Winston knew it was the only way for them to both live, as much as it might piss John off - he knows Winston did it out of necessity. Chapter 4 will see him, John, and the Bowery King teaming up against the Adjucator and high table. Since Sofia likely sealed her fate by helping John as well, it'd be awesome to see her as a part of their team too.

Not to mention that Winston never checks for a dead body. In a world where every good assassin double taps, he would have checked for a body if he wanted John to be dead. Though yeah, no one should have survived that fall, though John doesn't seem human.

My theory is that Lawrence Fishburne's character released that pigeon to Winston with a message about how they were being usurped and they created a pact. John is not in on it but Winston is not on the high table's side at all. Maybe.

Yeah I think Winston would obviously have known John was wearing an armored suit. He only shot him center mass.

Eh, what interests me about the movies is the action scenes. The plot is bare and only seems to be there to give a reason for another action scene. So I don't mind that John Wick 3 essentially went nowhere and was just "John tries to find redemption from excommunication, finds a way, then betrays it."
