I don't care for literally any of those. Star Wars is the only exception, and even then the exception for the discarded E.U. and even then it's literally for KOTOR 1 and 2. That's it.

I have no interest in the ASoIaF series at all. Tried the books, bored me to tears. Tried Telltale's GoT game, bored me to tears. Not to mention I have no more interest in any Star Wars movies at all.

I feel like a lot of people will only engage with popular media so they can be a part of the discussion. Try to start a water cooler convo about French Impressionist cinema and see what kind of looks your coworkers give you.

Just super heroes for me and I'm pretty much a casual. I actually have read comics though and desire to read more but I dont see me following and finishing say a 600 issue long series.

I feel like the premise of this topic is a bit misaligned... while I'm sure lots of the "video game nerd" demographic (whatever that is exactly) likes these series, I don't feel like it's in disproportionate amount compared to how much the general public likes them. Except walking dead maybe

Basically I feel like if you want to make a point about a demographic sharing media interests I think you should pick stuff that's generally not that relevant to people outside the demographic

I'm a big fan of horror media, but the horror board is always pretty dead. There's people there, but it's definitely a niche hobby. I dunno. Music, too. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

Yeah I think you need to go to dedicated sites for stuff like that. Or places like Reddit, Twitter, Tumblr etc. that don't have as focused a demographic.

Video game communities and sites generally do a good job covering stuff that goes under the nerd culture umbrella but other stuff isn't as popular in my experience.

Yeah, you have a point. I guess I've just been coming to gamefaqs for like, all of my life that I've been online that I don't really go anywhere else for social media. I browse reddit somewhat, but definitely not daily like it is here. I should give it some more effort.

- Game of Thrones -- Never watched or read. My brother said the books are better and it goes downhill after season 4.
- Star Wars --I watch the movies once or twice in theaters then never watch again.
- Superheroes -- I do enjoy the MCU movies. Don't really care for anything else anymore in this genre.
- The Walking Dead -- stopped after the second episode, not my thing.
