I wonder, did you figure out fully how the Pharaoh Shot works? A lot of people miss aspects of that weapon

1. You can charge it up
2. The charge hovering over your head can hit enemies
3. If you hit something with the charge but keep the button held down, you can still fire a fully charged shot
4. You can shoot diagonally up and down with it

Even knowing all that, MM4 Wily is definitely a pain. Still not the worst one though!

Some of the Special Weapons are ok outside of boss weaknesses.

Spark Shock is the worst weapon in the whole game. You can't even pause after you stun someone with it. Ice Slasher was so much better.

Not much to wright home about Needle Cannon. The rapid fire is kinda nice.

Search Snake can be pretty decent on stage designs that have "steps"

Magnet Missile is alright on stationary enemies like the Hammer Joes. Good if you want to hit them from below.

While Gemini Laser does drop the game's frame rate down quite a bit and it can be a little tricky to do the rebound shots, it's pretty strong. Especially against those porcupines.

Hard Knuckle is also ok. Has a bit of start up but it's very strong. Also nice that it can be controlled up or down. Though it's probably better for bosses and breaking down walls since it's pretty costly.

Top Spin can one shot a few enemies like the monkeys, the parachute guys and the porcupines. But you also gotta be careful not to use Top Spin if you get damaged during your i-frames cause there's a bug in it that will drain the weapon energy real quickly.

Shadow Blade is a poor man's Metal Blade but it does it's job well.

They're very similar, but due to MMX having different powers and upgrades than MM Classic, it enables the platforming to be designed differently. Most notably, X has a wall climb and a dash.

They're mostly the same with improvements and updates to the gameplay mechanics.

It's like what an actual sequel to Mega Man should be like, instead of the mission-pack style ones they churn out.

Mega Man 6 is kinda easy, but underrated

I really like 6's Rush specials a lot better than the previous games. I guess that made it easier but it also gave it a lot more flexibility to try different stuff.

Overall, 4-6 felt too long/repetitive for me to really call them great games. 2 and 3 seemed to get the formula just right though.

You can switch weapons without going into a submenu by using shoulder buttons. Thats a change!
