Senryu Girl beated. Pretty good show, for the most part. The main girl and main guy are pretty cute. I like their romantic stuff together, and while I was sad they didn't get together, but it's a 12 episode series of shorts, so I can understand if they wouldn't have gotten up to that point in the manga yet. The side cast is mostly good, but I didn't like his childhood friend/"sister" at all. Also the show was weirdly fanservicey at times? Always felt awkward in those sequences, especially since not every episode had them. Last episode was a really good final episode too.

I wish Kino had more screentime because she was awesome. I loved her whenever she showed up. Best humor of the show I think.

DanMachi S2 - the hot sequel to DanMachi that Ill definitely be watching. I need to watch S1 still, but I liked the mobile game when it was actually playable on my phone anyways.

Dr. STONE - one day the MC is turned to stone along with everyone else in the world apparently and thousands of years later he breaks out of the stone and explores the world with his bro now that humanity is dunzo because they were all stoned to death. Honestly sounds neat and its Jump so good chance Ill watch it.

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou - I hope you arent tired of isekai because Japan clearly isnt. This time an entire class is transported to another world and the lame MC gets the worst job/power set until he discovers something that probably makes him amazingly OP because its not like these series tend to have good or interesting writing. The waifus look decent and I guess thats all people really care about anyways.

Vinland Saga - From the amazing studio that gifted the world with Attack on Titan comes an adaptation that will look great if it even has half the talent behind it Titan has. Ive heard good things about this series and with a solid studio behind it Im sure well get something pretty good.

Fire Force - Summer means babes, beach trips and of course fires burning shit down and so we have Fire Force about some superhuman firefighters and some people who spontaneously combust...wow sucks for those guys. The Jojo studio is behind this though and the preview I saw looked good.

This...might be a bad idea, considering you probably won't know who one of the main characters is? And also the Index arc where they're introduced has some important implications for Accelerator's character.

Unless they re-show the introduction of Last Order in the new anime, but I don't think the Accelerator manga did this at all. (Though, this is based off the Raildex wiki which is a bit of a sketchy source)

Not that you have to watch the whole thing, but I suspect it will be pretty important to watch episodes 19 and 20 of Index season 1 before the Accelerator anime. They are imo some of the best Index episodes anyways.

This is assuming the Accelerator anime isn't going to animate that material again.

Oh I meant to respond to this last night.

To be honest, I don't think there are any segments of Index that are skippable? There might be some 2 episode arcs here or there, but it's few enough that it's probably easier to just recommend watching the whole thing.

There's some arcs that are worse than others mind you, but I think the bad arcs generally have important things happen in them. I can generally tell you which ones I think are the good arcs though, if you want.

Worth mentioning the Railgun stuff you're talking about doesn't exist in the source material canon, but they didn't do anything like that with the Index anime. I also think the Railgun filler arcs are worse than every arc of Index other than maybe one.

Ok you know what I can do a slightly better job than that and I've got time on my lunch break anyway. Here's a list of all the Index arcs and my opinion on them. This will only cover seasons 1 and 2, as I haven't finished season 3 yet and don't have the context for what's important and what's not. I will mention that season 3 I think had a dip in quality from 1 and 2. The later episodes (which I haven't seen) were somewhat better received, but I suspect that's just because the story is reaching the climax and everything's coming together rather than the anime adaptation doing a better job, if that makes sense.

I will mention that every arc has either new characters introduced or important things that happen or something like that, so ultimately if you like the show just don't skip anything imo. But anyways:

Index Arc--season 1 episodes 1-6: Do not skip. From a quality standpoint this isn't a fantastic arc, but it's very important for establishing Touma and Index as characters (and some other recurring characters), as well as important things about the world which you wouldn't have gotten through Railgun.

Deep Blood Arc--season 1 episodes 7-9: Probably one of the more skippable arcs. It's not great, and I don't remember much important happening here? Especially if you don't care about Index as a character and to be quite honest why would you? I do think this arc might be where Alister Crowley is introduced who is an important character, but if you just know the basics you'll be fine: He's a guy who's always upside down and has a voice that sounds like honey. He's a magician who's opposed to most other magicians and is also the founder of Academy City, and he's one of those characters who's always planning something. That should about cover it.

Sisters Arc--season 1 episodes 10-14: Since you already watched Railgun you could skip this, but I don't know that you'd want to? It's still very good in the Index anime also. It doesn't cover anything that the Railgun anime didn't however, though I do think it did a slightly better job portraying Accelerator.

Angel Fall Arc--season 1 episodes 15-17: Don't skip. Not super important in the grand scheme of things, but it does introduce one important character and I also think this arc is pretty good.

Three Stories Arc--season 1 episodes 18-20 (also ep. 1 of season 2 iirc???): Don't skip. A few different things going on here, but overall I think it's some of the best content in the anime and also the Accelerator stuff in here is very important for the remainder of Index as well as the Accelerator anime.

Kazakiri Hyouka Arc--remainder of season 1: Maybe skippable but I wouldn't recommend it. Overall not a fantastic arc which would be the only reason to recommend skipping it. It is important context for future arcs, but the stuff that's important is mostly magic/technobabble sort of stuff related to the newly introduced character (Kazakiri Hyouka) that honestly isn't going to make much sense regardless. As long as you keep that in mind you might be okay.

Orsola Aquinas Rescue arc--season 2 episodes 2-5: Don't skip. Introduces several new characters as well as a new faction, and is also probably my favorite magic-focused arc.

Tree Diagram Remnant arc--season 2 episodes 6-7: Don't skip. Not a very important arc, but from a quality standpoint it's some of the best the anime has to offer imo, especially for people who were fans of Railgun.

Daihaisei Festival Arc--season 2 episodes 8-13: This one you...might be able to skip? Quality varies a bit and although things happen I can't remember a whole lot of it being that important? I don't exactly remember everything that happened here though so if someone else disputes this then listen to them.

La Regina del Mare Adriatico Arc--season 2 episodes 14-16: One of the more skippable arcs imo. This arc was not good I didn't think. It does provide a bit more context on some minor characters but I don't really know if it's worth it.

Academy City Invasion Arc--season 2 episodes 17-23: Don't skip. Extremely important for pretty much everyone and also some of the best content in the anime anyways.

Skill-Out Uprising Arc--season 2 episodes 24-25: Probably don't skip. Introduces at least one important character and provides some context for stuff that's coming up later. Not the greatest arc but also not bad.
