bomb warrior, cyclone mage, any deck that just uses lackeys, etc.

Like the lackeys by themselves is not that big a deal. its like getting a lackey that discovers a random something etc. Its like two levels of randomness in one card.

I'm taking a break for now. I downloaded Duel Links and that has taken over my card game need for the time being.

Last time I skipped an entire expansion I came back and played more than ever, so I'll probably come back some time right before the next one ready to go.

I try to log on and complete dailies but sometimes it's tough to play this game for any amount of time.

Yeah...I've basically concluded that this brawl, as much as I want it to be good because I loved the previous brawl so much, is not very good.

Like...I really don't think C'Thun is the best deck, but most people you play against will be playing C'Thun, and if you don't kill them by turn 10, sometimes they will have drawn C'Thun already and are really scary, and sometimes they don't draw C'Thun at all and then they suck. It's such an important coinflip and it decides games.

There's Ancient Harbinger, which in theory could tutor for C'Thun, but this involves putting a 6 mana 4/6 into your deck, playing it, and hoping that your opponent doesn't kill it before your next turn.

(I'm also not terribly interested in optimizing C'Thun decks in the first place. I'd rather optimize decks that counter C'Thun decks, and if I really wanted to make an optimal C'Thun deck I'm pretty sure it would involve like Twin Emperor Vek'lor, which I am not keen to craft. Hillariously I did actually craft some cards for this brawl; some dragons to try and make dragon priest with dragons, dragon synergy, dragonfire potion and mass hysteria work. It...lost like 5 games in a row and I regretted my life decisions. Turns out C'Thun and Jade decks are good against control decks cause they have inevitability).

I looked at the new cards. Brightwing looks not bad.

Also, "BEASTS" is not a strength, come on now. Every clan is going to be good or bad based on how strong the synergy is around them.

High Inquisitor whitemane looks really good. It's like one turn worth of Kel'Thuzad but for one less Mana.

And arcane devourer looks like a fun greedy option for cyclone mage decks. Probably much too slow to be any good on average though. But devourer + images gives you a 6/6 with two taunts for protection that might keep it around long enough to go off.

Or just play questing and call it a day

Revive some 1/1s with charge or rush is not a big deal. Especially in a class that rarely wants to make those kinds of value trades so it is a card that is often dead.

Put that card in warrior bringing some mid sized rushing mechs back to life and it's a bit more substantial or really any deck that wants to win out on value.

I'm curious how it plays in mech pally though. I imagine it would just bring back the base mech and not any of the stacked buffs.

I'm imagining it could find a place in a rogue side deck alongside Togwaggles Scheme. Imagine shuffling 10 of them into your deck and your opponent is forced to place around constant trade/rez plays.

My control Hunter has been absurdly successful this month. Very few losses between ranks 20 and 7 so far. I think this would be a terrible deck for an open format, but because people aren't expecting control they don't realize how they should be playing the match until it's too late.

And it's so delicious when warriors have to snap concede at the end of a 30 minute game when they see my archivist coming down seven turns after they played theirs.

As much as people are shitting on the new priest heal card, I think it might be the most playable of the bunch.

Goes right into miracle Chef Nomi priest. Plays well with Archmage Vargoth which is one of the most played legendaries in priest decks in both standard and wild.

Brightwing is the other one that's probably ok, in that it goes into dragon decks. Not that there's any viable dragon decks right now at all.

Whitemane looks interesting, but...I'm pretty skeptical. Kel'Thuzad is fringe but does see some play in wild, but every deck in which it sees play you bypasss the battlecry completely and cheat it into play. It's played in like...Darkest Hour Warlock, and Dane Rogue. And once it's in play, it becomes a must-kill for the opponent instead of a vanilla body; that part's important too. The most reasonable use I can think of offhand is turn 6 mechanical whelp into turn 7 suicide the whelp and whitemane. You get a free whelp. But that's not even that impressive (and if you're doing this in Hunter you could just like...play Necromechanic instead).
