I got 25 shellfish in 15 minutes. The turn in is 55s per 5. So 2g 75s per 15 minutes. So 11g per hour...?

I thought so too. The only problems are if you have competition, and if you hate going underwater.

That has always been a good way to make cheap fast money in vanilla and was always occupied on the server i played on way back in the day.

Hit 40. Only had about 50g, and once the novelty of having a mount right away was gone I decided to just go on a spending spree because why not. Trained a bunch of spells I'd left behind and dipped down to like 25g. But hey now at least I can aoe in dungeons and actually support my group with totems that I never use while playing solo. Plus the mount only takes me from +40% to +60%. While that's a bit faster, it's not really a big deal considering my pace of play anyway.

I haven't played in a week. I transmuted some arcanite for a guildmate and that was like, enough for me, I guess. Level 43, so almost halfway to 60.

I'm not really sure I want to grind or deal with the gear treadmill. I'm not saying those things are bad. And I think I don't like the zones at this point in the game, so, eh. /coolstory

yeah it's really all about much you wanna play the game. it's super easy to get into a place where you play the game because you feel like you should be playing it instead of because you want to play it.

i'm boycotting though.... even though all i do is think about how much i want to play my mage all day

Just hit 54 on my mage. Just before I did, I got a pair of gloves that are better than the Magister's Gloves I bought in advance, but not if the Magister's Gloves give me a 4-set bonus - which I don't yet have. So I'm keeping the current gloves until I get another piece of equipment, probably around 60.

The Magisters set isn't good, unfortunately

Spell damage is the best, and some slots the best item you can get is just +frost damage

If you are a tailor you probably have Robe of Power already, and Robe of the Archmage is the best chest you can get, but if you aren't a tailor then Robe of Winter Night is really good. Also if you never did the level 30 quest from TAbetha in Dustwallow Marsh that leads to the Icefury Wand you should probably do that.

yep

you can get more int gear but then you'll be able to cast a few more frostbolts or maybe 1 more blizzard, but then you'll have to spend even more time drinking to get the mana back

I'm just not sure about Robe of Winter Night. +40 frost damage is great, but +11 int is weak, and it has nothing else.

+11 int is quite a bit for having that much spell damage, for most slots it's worthwhile to take an item with +20-30 spell damage with literally no other stats over other items that are +int +stam + spirit but no or low spell damage

Yeah, I may go for it. I tried to farm some Essence of Water to save myself 80g in materials, but the entire area where the only mob that drops it is always camped by others.

I've only been online 2 nights a week max. 2-3 hours per session. Havin a good time. Guild went into uldaman the other night, all of us pretty low level. We got to the final boss, gave it one shot, and all agreed it was not worth a second attempt lol. I was below 70% mana before I landed a single hit on him.

yeah uldaman is hilarious. the last boss is absurdly high-level.

One of the funnier moments in recent memory...

I'm running around the bloodsail cove in STV. I see a chest spawn with no mobs around it. I start heading over, and realize there's an alliance player 5 levels lower than me who's going to get there first. I decide to let him have it, and I just stand there emoting while he's opening it. Then suddenly out of nowhere, a 60 forsaken rogue named Shankmonger /yells "FOR HILLSBRAD!!!" and ganks the dude, then vanishes. I /mourned his corpse and then looted the chest. Lol.

Just had an enhancement shaman whine that I (as an elemental shaman) was "stealing his stormstrike charges".

This is probably my most "classic" experience yet.

Someone rocked my world the other day by pointing out that when you activate elemental mastery, you can force it to affect a lightning spell and a shock at the same time by casting the lightning spell then spamming the shock so that they go off at the same time.

This is too fun.

Had family stuff going on all weekend so I couldn't play.

My guild which I joined via random invite spam during my first week eventually made me an officer just because the GM and main tank enjoyed running dungeons with me. I have been the laziest officer ever. It took me like a month to even join the discord and I only posted in it the day I joined.

I wonder how long I can maintain this status without doing anything.

So I spilled a drink on my keyboard, and the result is unimaginably evil

99.5% of the time, the keyboard functions normally

But occassionally, the left shift key registers as both shift and enter at the same time

Just think about that for a minute

hm. I suppose I could just unbind all the basic functionality of Enter within WoW and it would still be functional

would be a better alternative to trying to change all my shift things to ctrl or alt

Did ZF the other night and someone paid me 15g to subscribe to their YouTube channel.

I know this isn't "meta" but I went 31 into elemental and then into enhancement for 2H weapons instead of going into resto. Just got to 51 and had the opportunity to start using a nice 2H mace with high dps and a chance on hit effect.

I gotta say I'm having a blast pulling with 1-2 lightning bolts then the second the mob gets in range having a single melee swing go off for 1k total on a windfury proc lol

Also very nice in mara where a lot of mobs are nature immune

I got my first 1v1 kill against a level 60 (PHASE TWO, AM I RIGHT?)

As a level 54. Elemental shaman.

I was in Felwood, fighting a mob. 60 hunter shows up and starts shooting me.

I turn and target the hunter, and pop elemental mastery. I cast chain lightning into earth shock. They both land and crit (obviously) because the hunter isn't moving.

I cast lightning bolt, and it crits and kills the hunter.

I mean, I know they sucked. They flat out sucked at pvp, but I don't care. Got my first 1v1 kill on a level 60. That was the situation. After being hunted like crazy during the current phase, that felt good.

I don't have any way of checking the time played, but the answer's probably Hearthstone, because I've got to imagine I've got hundreds of hours in that...maybe even a thousand. Meanwhile, I only have two games on Steam that have 216+ hours played, and I haven't touched either recently.

Worth noting, I'm paying WoW month to month, and my subscription lapsed earlier this week. I chose not to immediately recontinue it. I've mostly only been playing to raid, and my guild wasn't sure what would be happening with the holiday weekend, so I just mentally resolved to go without WoW until next Friday.

Yeah we started with about 6 but have 3 left. Two 58s and a 53 so it looks like we'll actually make it to the point of being able to do some endgame stuff together but will always be LFM.

I'm a quarter of the way through 58...it feels like I'm approaching the end of a long tunnel but the tunnel constantly gets longer so that I'm never any closer to the exit

Did my first scholo run last night and got a couple upgrades. I'm over 100 bonus spell damage now which is nice. My elemental mastery is good for about 2.4k now which is way too much fun and feels like it should be illegal. If I come across someone who is my level or a few levels lower they have about a 50% chance to be dead within 2 seconds lol

War Stomp is so good.

That's roughly how it went, with some back and forth between zones in the 40s and 50s. Mix in running every single instance at least twice, minus gnomer, deadmines, and stockades.

If I make an alt, I'll probably roll undead and do more EK early game and plaguelands to finish.

That's noticeably fewer zones than I used, even allowing for the Horde's use of The Barrens.

Yeah I mean I did hand in a few one off quests but I didn't unclude them. Like I completed 2 quests in silithus. Also did the ST quests but didn't mention Swamp of Sorrows, etc. Basically for every single dungeon I did the associated quests, too.

What would you consider to be an appropriate tip for an enchanter creating two items (enchanted thorium bar) with the customer's mats (1 thorium bar, 3 dream dust)
