Thankfully I have a permanent sub15 (and usually sub13) Ixion team to farm arcana. Going to finish a double dampen necrophobe, bring Hades to 99, bring dragon zombie to 99 and feed it to Hades for the empower dark 15, and then give Madeen a shot with mage Sephiroth, Golbez chain, Raines BSB/OSB, OK mUSB, and likely Elarra.

It's kind of amazing how good even off-element Awakenings are. Trying to farm Typhon a little for attack boons, Terra easily caps with Tritoch in awakened mode even with no +ice weapon and no damage boost RM. Cut my time from 27.47 to 20.19.

Typhon's become my inheritance fodder magicite now too, and he used to be one of my most frustrating bosses but Terra's awakening cracks him open up like a clam. With Chain Blizzaja Rinoa gets enough meter for an AOSB and I can sub20 him now.

I also did the FFV RoP, I've held most of these off but I with Bartz's Awakening, 3 gen 2 chains (and a second fire chain) I couldn't resist.

Got Krile's earth USB... not what I was hoping for but a 6 star earth boosting Rod is still pretty nice.

Figures. I may skip 4, as I don't need much from there (Edward's chain maybe, but I have Ramza's so unlikely), will draw on 3, skip 2 (I have Maria, Minwu, and Hilda USBs, along with Firion's), and draw on 1.

I got a Galuf imperil USB I didn't have. I didn't even remember he had another USB. My Galuf is pretty stacked (Chain, team buff+enEarth USB, Monk doublecast LMR, QC3 LMR) so it feels like a decent pick up.

Hell yeah. I'm completely exhausted, but I did it (well, 1/8th of it)
It was an RNG-fest unlike any I've ever experienced, but after trying for ~3 hours, I was victorious.
No imperil from Vincent in the first 2 turns meant an auto-restart
Too many, or not enough Aerith LM2 procs at the start means Vincent and Terra die instead of trancing.
OK needs to juggle his SB gauge very carefully, because he needs to refresh pUSB around 25 seconds, but most importantly, he needs to entrust enough gauge to Aerith to keep my characters alive.

Vincent BUSB is an amazing relic btw. Instant cast, en-fire, and the next turn is also instant cast. Brave command is very useful to lower savage level, because Bartz and Terra sometimes have a hard time breaking savage mode 3, if the chain isn't high enough.

2 casts of Fabula Mage and a 399,999 Terra AOSB was more than half of his phase 3 health gone.

Nice! I'd probably swap OK's lifesiphon for wrath since I can't imagine the damage makes a difference but the extra SB points might. Unless you're hitting Terra to trigger trance or something?

It's Lifesiphon for the for the physical quickcast from Aerith. At least, I don't think Wrath would be quickcast.

I shouldnt have pulled, but tried anyway. Saw the disco ball and got excited, but it was a dupe Edge USB.

Murdered Ixion a few more times, got dragon zombie to 99, and inherited empower dark 15 to Hades. Tonight will be my first 5* magicite shot, going for Madeen. Likely going with OK (mUSB), Sephiroth (AASB/USB2), Raines (BSB/OSB), Golbez (chain), and Elarra. Going without Shelke will be odd, as Im so used to just entrusting a bar instantly. Giving Golbez banishing strike for mighty guard and mark of darkness, Raines wrath and MM, Seph MM and NC, but unsure about Elarra and OK. I assume I need shellga, so likely that and curada for Elarra, and either entrust bot for OK, or something else.

Thoughts?

I don't think OK really can do anything besides be an entrust bot against Madeen. Also I'd rather go Allegro Con Moto over Curada for Elara, especially if you have her LMR that can medica after bard. It would also be better for your 2/4 slot characters to use dire heal so you won't need Curada.

I do have her LMR, so will do.

Should DPS be in slots 2/4? I know slots 1/5 are hit by stop (unless I get past it somehow), so I figure Elarra and OK in those slots.

DPS USBs are still going to be useful in the Odin/6* magicite era, Awakenings only last 15 seconds after all and when they're up you'll need to use your USBs or there may be a boss you need to save your awakenings for the last phase in case we get anymore bosses like Syldra or Hecat who have stupid hard third phases where it's better to kill them ASAP.

Well unless you plan to whale on Synchros or wait until they're common like Awakenings will be.

Physical was a hard skip because of the support USBs mucking it up but Magic is still tempting.

Madeen killed me the first time. Put MM on Golbez and gathering storm on Elarra, along with giving Elarra curada instead of AcM (her USB gave me the quick casts I needed, plus the curada helped keep everyone topped up for the phase 3 savage terra homing). Got her down in 28.74!!

Now to farm a whole bunch of her. I know I want one with double attack boon, double mag boon, a hybrid attack/magic, and probably a mind/health or mind/healing boon. Is a triple empower holy Madeen worth it?

I wouldn't bother with a triple empower. If you're running a holy team, you'll probably have 2, maybe even 3 seperate Madeens.

It might also be worth considering a copy with double Dampen Holy and double Dampen Dark. Not a high priority, but something to think about.

Farmed 3 more, 2 of them around 33-35 seconds, and the third at 30.49. It's all about timing, but I have it so that Sephiroth gets tranced by the first phase savage terra homing. Then it's getting Golbez's chain up right before Seph's AASB and Raines' BSB (and shadow dragon magicite). Only issue is it always seems like Seph's AASB effect runs out just a bit too early, and I get caught at the end trying to whittle away the last bit of Madeen's health. Initially I was running AASB -> USB2 -> NC spam, but I'm not sure how much the USB2 does here, aside from a dark ability boost every 2 dark attacks. Though it's also 15 dark attacks towards the chain (even though they barely hit at all), and that dark boost could definitely help.

What are your pulling plans for fest? Right now I have 350 mythril. Assuming the only major change is swapping Sephiroth with Zidane, I'm planning:

- 2 pulls on banner 1 (Rydia, Shantotto, Alphinaud)
- 3-4 pulls on banner 2 (Cloud, Squall, Noctis, and hopefully Zidane)
- 1-2 pulls on banner 5 (Celes, Agrias, Sephiroth

Sadly I'm skipping the Orlandu banner because I have too many dupes (Terra and Kain Awakenings + Kain's Arcane as well). Banner 4 I already have Bartz's Awakening and Seifer's chain (making Gabranth's redundant).

Got a fairly stable 26-29 sec kill of Madeen, got 8 copies right now. Made one with double mag already, second one will be double attack. The key is waiting to pop Golbez's chain just a little bit longer, around 13 seconds or so, and then can get everything in that I need to.

I don't really like Zidane AASB all that much. It's not bad, but higher SB gain is such a lame secondary effect. You're spamming a 6* ability at 0CT for 15 seconds; you'd probably gain 4 bars from that, even without the extra SB gauge.

I have 250-ish mythril to spend. I'm thinking about doing a few more pulls on the chain banner. Still lacking any kind of Earth and Ice chain, and Seifer would be a major upgrade to Garland.

3/14 isn't great odds, but those might be the relics I need more than any other.

I really like Cloud stuff, but upon brief read of his AASB, is it really super amazing? I have to look at it again when I have time, but it doesn't look like it stands out a super amount. But please correct me if I'm wrong!

Agreed the SB bonus is pretty useless for Zidane, but instant cast thief + awoken thief is already insanely powerful. And I like Zidane.

Cloud - I think what makes it good is you can combine it with his USB1 to go way above 19,999 (especially if you stack enWind with his Glint+ and have crit damage boost from Zack). The extra SB points actually are worth using for him since his Arcane is so good when combined with his USB1.

Zidane Awakening and USB2/Glint is actually insanely strong. I do see him a lot in Titan fights. He's also one of the most popular off realm characters for D??? Torments.
