My run is Monk/Red Mage/Mystic Knight/Bard, about to head into world 2. Slightly concerned about sustainability, but I guess double Cure 2s should be okay? Anything I can stall against late game should be fine thanks to Bard.

Current status: Grinded on Statues in Val Castle basement for X-Magic on one character, cleared the dragon plant place with ease because Bard is really good apparently?

Almost any party should be possible. I had a probably bottom 10 party last time I did it (Thief/Berserker/Geomancer/Dragoon) and was able to beat it without too much trouble (though Fork Tower was "fun").

I'm doing random this time around with Knight/Summoner/White Mage/Blue Mage. Pretty damn solid team.

Cleared world 2. Exdeath was a very long fight that I was never really in danger of losing thanks to Wall Rings, a Drain sword magic Mystic Knight with Bone Mail, and Speed Song. Jesus christ Speed Song is broken.

Once you get White Mage you should be set but until then, buy lots of potions

and if you have never played FF5 before, the way Mystic Knight works you have to buy regular Black Magic spells (and occasionally White) for them to be able to use, so don't skip over those

Does Two-Handed increase the damage my Spellblade attacks do?

Yep. Or, rather, Spellblade will increase the damage of your Two-Handed physicals just fine. (Spellblade and Two-Handed also combo perfectly well with Ranger's final skill, X-Fight; that party is destined to smash faces. Although I guess you can't have all three on the same character in a Four Job Fiesta.)

Finished my run and killed Omega for the first time ever. Turns out Mystic Knight and Bard are really good. Who knew?

Still chipping away at this, though the FF14 expansion has slowed me down a lot. I'm in World 2 with Knight/Summoner/Ninja/Samurai, which is pretty overpowered.

TFT is distracting me. I'm mid world 1 right now.

Blue Mage/Red Mage/Time Mage is what I have so far. I feel pretty confident that whatever my 4th class is doesn't matter.

Can someone TL:DR explain this to me? Reading the topic just confused me more. You get 4 random classes and play FFV? Seems easy enough.

It's a charity thing that is a challenge run of Final Fantasy V. You sign up on their website and then tweet their bot what type of run you want to play. I'm playing Random. It gives me a class that I have access to at the time I roll it. So I will get one of the first 6 classes. So I set all 4 characters to that class until I reach the water crystal. Then you tweet the bot #Water (Etc for Fire and Earth) until you get all 4 jobs. The difficulty of the run is varied. Like the run Dante said earlier is actually really really easy for world 1 and most of world 2. Then it gets kind of hard. Meanwhile a run like mine is just easy period because I have a Blue Mage. (Broke) but it will require me to abuse all the broken Blue Magic stuff and my party does have very low HP so stuff like ExDeath 2 will be slightly annoying.
