Mostly things I can snack easily on instead of snacking on things like bread (crackers, chips, a piece of toast, a sandwich), but I can't eat cold veggies because they're too hard for me to eat. Fruits are okay, but they go bad to quickly (I have a very small fridge)

I did get some almond PB, I remember hearing that somewhere

I'm not much of milk drinker (gives me the shits), but I do drink a lot of water. Trying to give up soda (7up)

But yeah, I need things to snack on during the day

Hard boiled eggs
Just make a big batch. They're fairly filling and good for you. Like eating 4 will definitely fill most people up completely and that's only like 200 calories. Even cold they won't hurt your teeth (I'm assuming that's why veggies are an issue). Buy one of those egg cookers for like $15 if you want to cook them super easy.

hard salami
smoothies, makes these. most premade stuff is loaded with sugar
popcorn
dried fruit, watch the labels on these many loaded with added sugar as well
nuts
hummus

if you dont mind cooking some stuff up theres a ton of protien bars you could make that are fairly easy too and way cheaper/ better for you than packaged.

As to why I snack, I used to smoke (which is how my teeth got bad) and now I find it really hard to not eat here and there. I also hear it's better to eat smaller meals throughout the day, but I'm not the asking here, lol

Eggs make me sick as well. Along with cheese. I'm sure I can get a pill or something, but I rather just eat things that dont make me sick

I love meat, I eat a lot of sea food. I really like rice, but that's bad for you, right? Ramen, I love. I like soups (but I have crackers >_<)

I don't eat a lot of junk food (chocolate and ice cream makes me sick as well). My biggest issue is crackers and bread. And the soda as well

Seeds are really good for snacking on and packed with nutrients but if you've got wellness goals diet won't be enough, you need some movement incorporated with a balanced diet otherwise it'll take you a very long time to reverse the damage accumulated.

Fruit isnt a great snack if you're trying to lose weight tbh. Okay in moderation but fruit has sugar, which is your real enemy if you're trying to shed pounds. Nuts are a great and easy snack, just make sure they aren't seasoned with, wait for it........sugar.

Honestly you should get rid of the mentality of needing "snacks" imo

I do have dentures, but on the top ones fit. The bottom ones are hard to fix now because when you don't have teeth your jaw warps because the teeth hold it in place

uh, no. white rice has the germ and bran of the rice grain removed, whereas brown rice doesn't, and those are where all the nutrients are. brown rice has significantly more amounts of several vitamins and minerals, as well as fiber and antioxidants. this is a very easily verifiable fact and i really don't understand why you would attempt to assert otherwise.

and if only more fiber even was the case, it would still be a great recommendation for TC's situation, as foods high in fiber makes you feel fuller longer, which will make you less likely to snack.


All rice is almost entirely carbs. Yes, brown rice has a marginal amount more nutrients, but the biggest difference is the difference of fiber

Brown rice is one of the healthier options for carbs in a diet, but I wouldnt be snacking on it.....it's still carbs.

And once again, the difference is marginal. If the rest of your diet is on point but you prefer white rice when you have rice.....you'll be fine.

I dont eat brown rice. Cause it sucks unless you know how to do it right, and dont mind waiting an hour for rice to be ready. I'd rather get my nutrients elsewhere and enjoy my meal, but you do you

I'm on a pretty strict diet myself. Things I might have a snack:
Peanut butter
Dry roasted edamame, chickpeas, etc
Avocados
Extend or Atkins bars
Yogurt like OIKOS
Hummus
Steel cut oatmeal
Blueberries, raspberries or an apple
Half of a Sweet potato

Safe + Fair has a good healthier chip selection. I stick with the sea salt pea protein chips though. Low carb, no sugar, and no saturated/trans fats

I just steam my veggies and make them soft. I eat a lot more veggies than I do fruit. Fruit is just easier to pick up and eat

Looks good. Remember, consistency is key. Don't feel discouraged if all the weight doesn't melt off in a week or two (if that's your concern). Stick to eating healthy/cutting calories and getting your steps and exercise in every day and you'll notice results over time.

Most of it is pretty simple. Try to cut out as much sugar from your diet as you can, if you can't remove all of it. Don't drink your calories (lay off soda and juice as much as you can, stick to mostly water). Foods that are high in fiber and protein will be the most filling. Try to avoid simple/processed foods and carbohydrates. Try not to snack a lot but also don't starve yourself since this can lead to unwanted binge eating later on

Popcorn is one of the best snack foods if you're looking for a snack food. It's high volume for its caloric intake, so if you are a volume eater like myself, it's perfect. Just don't put butter, margarine, salt, seasoning, Etc on it.
