I genuinely trust that Pez read on him. If Pez is scum it's more likely he does that to town Tom to butter him up after the last time than scum on scum transparent defense. I also think Chris' point about Tom, whether Chris is town or scum, is rooted in the truth. Chris likes to be right, and he is showing a lot of confidence on that reasoning. Tom is in a good place between those two reads

They are so outraged that I would dare suggest anyone skip the first 400 posts of a mafia game I was actively following along and shitposting for.

Then I ask them important questions to validate their suspicions on me and others and they retreat like churlish cowards.

I say we lynch both of them at the same time if possible!

But on a serious note, in my experience board mafia ignores third party possibilities too much. So, if I can say it enough times then hopefully it'll stick in people's minds and they'll use it in their reasoning for the rest of the game, instead of unknowingly (sometimes knowingly) assuming it can't happen.

Towns hunt scum. Scum hunts serial killers.

I have a longstanding belief that anyone who mentions serial killers early in a game of mafia is scum. I've caught a lot of people on that, because our games used to all have 20+ players, most had a third party, and someone would invariably slip up because they let their pregame slip out into the topic.

So if you're actually presenting an SK theory this early I'm probably going to lynch you.

I stand by what I said, this game feels like a candidate for third parties of some form. SK is the simplest example. But literally every time I bring it up in a board game people say it never happens. So, I'm going to mention it every time D1 that I think it's halfway reasonable. The shear repetition will help it stick and somewhat normalize the thought. Also, I'm having fun with the idea that Tom could be a scum SK trying to pocket Chris.

I wanted to see if Chris had anything else to back up his read. I had a gut slight scum lean on Tom based on his early posts so I wanted to hear more from someone with experience playing with him (I think last game was the first I played with him)
