He was sentenced last week after pleading guilty to 3rd degree child molestation as his conviction could be completely WIPED from his record if he successfully completes his probation but will have to register a sex offender in the meantime. He was originally charged with kidnapping, statutory sodomy and statutory rape but that was dropped for exchange of a guilty plea Police said he connected with the girl who was using her mother's cell phone on "MeetMe" and arranged a meet in July 2017.. He picked up the girl from her home after she gave an address and drove her back to his apt. She was reported missing and police spent several hours searching for her until she was found back at home Meili dropped her off Police found her BACKING HER BAG so she could leave again but finally told them where she was and said fell asleep at his home and felt as though something "sexual" happened...then said Meili RAPED her!! Evidence was found on her UNDERWEAR and she tested positive for chlamydia They made contact with him on the phone but claimed he didn't know what they were talking about..then admitted meeting her on the website that said she was 18. He agreed to meet with the cops the following day but didn't show up..until he was tracked and arrested His lawyer said he had been catfished where someone is lured in by a person pretending to be someone else. However, he was lucky as he could have gotten 3 to 10 years as prosecutors asked for 7 and a mandatory 120 days sex offender program. The judge has been criticized in the past for lenient sex offender sentences as a 24 y/o man sexually abused an 8 y/o was given 30 days probation and 5 years probation and a man raped a woman WHILE on probation and given another 5 years probation.
